Diverse Point of Views on Movies from Indonesian Students

Movies are the works of arts that are pleasure to watch. They provide characters, plots, and settings that contribute to the construction of stories in the movies.

This post is intended for Indonesian students who learn Cross-Culture Understanding (CCU) with me in the Odd Semester of 2020/2021 academic year. The students are registered in the V TBI/A and V TBI/B classes. Each of the students is required to compose their final project about Responses or Feedback about Movies.

General readers of this blog are welcome to read, and if necessary, are welcome to give additional comments to enrich this discussion, so that the students might have new insights about the movies they watched.

In the CCU subject, Indonesian students learned about concepts and theories that relate to Culture. Besides, they learn about Communication Theory that supports the explanation of the importance of understanding cultures of other people and cultures of the self. The purpose of this Final Project is to allow students to have Space where they can give comments or feedback about Movies. In the same time, they practice English composition. This Final Project is, therefore, a combination of listening, reading, and writing skill in English.

Instruction for the Final Project

  1. This final project is for individual student;
  2. Each student chose a movie to be watched and commented;
  3. The movie uses English as its main language in the story;
  4. Movies that use languages other than English can be selected, but the movie should have Indonesian subtitle;
  5. Student composed their response of the movie in four paragraphs;
  6. First paragraph is the introductory to the movie response;
  7. Second paragraph is the review of the plot of the movie in your own words (do not copy the synopsis of the movie from any source);
  8. Third paragraph is the main point of your argument about the response of the movie;
  9. Four paragraph is the remarks, or the values that you can gain from the movie;
  10. Each paragraph should have at least four to five sentences;
  11. Each student mentioned the title of the movie in their response, such as: “Titanic: The Persecution of Woman’s Rights in Marriage (Student Name – NIM. 0000000)”
  12. The language use in the response is English;
  13. Each student has to avoid doing plagiarism;
  14. Each student send the file of the movie to me through Google drive.

The deadline for submitting this Final Project, as the replacement of the UAS (Ujian Akhir Semester) is December 27, 2020, at 23:59 WIB / 11:59 pm.

Student posted their Response in the comment section of this blog post.

    Title: Baby’s Day Out

The film Baby’s Day Out tells the story of a beby who is trying to be caught by three kidnappers. Initially, a mother named Laraine Cotwell had a cute baby named Baby Bink Cotwell. Baby Bink is now two years old and has extraordinary intelligence. He use to listen to someone who reads a fairy tale, then recorded it in memory.
Once upon a time, the baby’s mother saw a potrait of a friend’s child enter the newpaper page. He then felt jealousand wamted his son to appear on newspaper pages.
Therefore, he contacted the photographer’s officer to take a photo of his only child. Shortly thereafter, three photographers arrived, namely Edgar “Eddie” Mauser who was the boss of the group and two of his subordinates, namely Norbert “Norby” Leblaw and Victor “Veeko” Riley.
It seems that the three people are not real photographers, but criminals who plan to kidnap Baby Bink.
    Baby’s Day Out (Imdb)
The Plan is, if they succeed in kidnapping Baby Bink later, the three of them will ask for ransom for the baby conglomerate. However, it turned out that these three people were not expert in committing crimes. They are just incompetent criminals. Instead of kidnapping Baby Bink, the smart baby managed to escape. Even the kidnapper becomes overwheelmed because he has to chase the resourceful he has to chase the resourceful baby. Baby Bink, who managed to escape from the three amateur criminals, then began his journey to adventure. He went around the city and visited various places. Apparently he visited the places he knew from the fairy tales that had been so far.

The moral value is, we can’t leave babies with people we don’t know, don’t leave our baby even if it’s only for a moment, we don’t know crime will happen anytime that will threaten the savety of us and our family, because crime is not just an act that deliberated, but because of opportunity.

    Tittle: The First Grader

The first grader film is a film taken from a true story that has a world record, this film is taken from a true story. I am very impressed and touched by the storyline of this film, this film contains a lot of moral messages, especially about the struggle to learn.

This film tells the story of a Kenyan man who goes to elementary school (SD) for the first time when he is no longer young, namely 84 years old, his name is Kimani Ng’ange’a Maruge (Oliver Litondo). Maruge never received education because from a young age he only struggled from pressure and intimidation from British colonialists. Until one day in 2002, the Government of Kenya announced free education for everyone. Instantly children flocked to register with their parents with the condition to bring a birth certificate. Maruge heard the news on the radio in his area, then he thought to fulfill his dream which was once difficult to set foot in school, he wanted to be able to write and read. Maruge’s persistence in being able to study at the free school provided by the government was so intens, the small school which was quite far from his remote residence did not shake his legs to walk towards it. Initially he was immediately rejected outright by the teacher and principal at the school, namely Miss Jane Obinchu (Naomie Harris), considering the classrooms were full and Maruge was unfit to study at the elementary school. But Maruge did not give up, he continued to return to the school gate for 3 times, until finally Maruge’s words melted teacher Jane’s heart, namely “we are nothing if we can’t read and we are useless without knowing how to hold a pencil.” Long story short Jane and Maruge formed a relaxed friendship and Jane appointed Maruge as her class assistant while giving Maruge additional private lessons for writing and reading. Unfortunately, during a teacher exchange, Jane had to be transferred to a school far from where she teaches now. When Jane’s substitute teacher arrives, the children disagree, they only want Jane’s teacher as their teacher. Jane’s teacher made an impression on the children’s hearts, because she was a very caring, caring, sensitive, friendly and fun teacher. Maruge then decided to arrange for Jane’s teacher to return. He followed Jane’s teacher into town by bus and sold his goat as fare there. Arriving in the city, Maruge intended to meet the president, but it was not that easy, the president was in a meeting with other council members. Maruge couldn’t wait to wait too long, he broke into the meeting room and told him about his struggle against the British colonialists so he couldn’t go to school. He showed the tear marks on his back that he suffered earlier. He wants Jane’s teacher sent back to the school back. Long story short, Jane’s teacher returned to school, the children were so enthusiastic about welcoming Jane’s teacher back, Maruge was no exception, she immediately hugged Jane’s teacher. When the lesson was over, Maruge went to Jane’s teacher to ask for help reading the letter he had been keeping. Then Jane’s teacher asked another teacher next to her to read the letter to Maruge. How surprised Maruge was when he heard the contents of the letter was that Maruge was given awards and benefits along with compensation for the sacrifice he suffered as a fighter during the British colonial period. Until Maruge shed tears, that his struggles and sacrifices were not in vain but were given a great balm in the end.

The main point of my argument about the response of this movie is that the struggle to learn by an old grandfather was so extraordinary, that he got a reply from the struggles and sacrifices he suffered in the past.

The valuable lesson that I can take from this film is that it is never too late to learn as long as we have a strong determination to do it, no matter how hard the struggle must be, because later we will reap the results of that hard work. An elderly grandfather struggling to study in school only to be able to write and read the letters he had been keeping, no matter the ridicule because he was attending school at an old age, he was still enthusiastic about studying at school. His most valuable words that really motivated me were “the power is in the pen, to read and understand is very important. This is one way to solve poverty among us. “

    Tittle : Sleeping Beauty (1959)

    Sleeping Beauty film (1959)
Based on the fairy tale La Belle au bois dormant by Charles Perrault, Sleeping Beauty was brought to the big screen in 1956. The film was produced by Walt Disney and is Disney’s 16th animated feature film. Sleeping Beauty was released in 1956. The film released by Buena Vista is a wide-screen animation with the theme of the last fairy tale during Walt Disney’s life, until the appearance of The Little Mermaid in 1989, which is a film based on a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The failure of this film to meet expectations of gaining in the box office charts, causing the studio to be reluctant to return to the big screen.
In 1890, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky presented the audience with a ballet that became a success, namely Sleeping Beauty. Music from her ballet graced Disney’s Sleeping Beauty film, with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra playing music. The film was directed by Wolfgang Reitherman, Les Clark, and Eric Larson. Sleeping Beauty is the first animation made through Technirama’s big screen process, then shown with Super Technirama 70 in its premiere. In Disney history, only Sleeping Beauty and The Black Cauldron (1985) were recorded on Technirama, which promised a wider screen.
Initially, this film received mixed criticism. Often critics are slow and lack character development. However, Sleeping Beauty is now considered to be one of the best animations ever made, thanks to the amazing illustrations by Eyvind Earle.

Tittle: Ralph breaks the internet 2

The animated film Ralph Breaks The Internet is a sequel to Wreck-It-Ralph which came out in 2012. This Walt Disney film features artists such as John Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, and Gal Gadot.
The story continues six years after Ralph saved the arcade from Cy-Bugs attacks and Turbo’s grudge. Ralph and Vanellope this time leave the Litwak arcade and venture into a new world that relies on speed, namely the internet.

The story begins when Vanellope’s game Sugar Rush is damaged. They decided to try to fix it by entering the internet. In the internet world they rely on internet citizens to guide their way. They finally meet Yesss, an algorithm chief from the BuzzzTube site, Knowsmore the all-knowing, and female racer Shank from the game Slaughter Race.

The adventure begins with two friends Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) who decide to explore a new world, even though they don’t know what’s there. They only have one goal to get there, save Vanellope’s game, Sugar Crush.

Initially, all was well. Ralph and Vanellope live out their roles as characters in the game during the day and relax at night with the other characters’ friends. In the midst of the panic, Ralph and Vanellope discovered a new thing, the internet. Ignoring what would happen later, the two of them decided to go in there.

Unexpectedly, this decision sparked conflict in friendship, and this is the essence of this story.

    Taare Zameen Par

Every child is special. Really touched the bottom of my heart. I have watched this film several times. Nikumbh eventually discovered Dyslexia in academically poor students who were different for 8-9 years. Now the time has come for us to do the right thing. That is the responsibility that must be done by every parent, student and teacher.
Taare zameen par is recommended for all age groups. The film contains a good message for our social life. The punishment is very bad for the inner student. Parents’ rude behavior can make the child’s physical and mental growth decline. The love and affection of the parents is the best medicine for the physical and mental progress of the child. This film teaches us how to behave well with children. I think “Mr. Nikumbh is a very good teacher who can be called a True Teacher, who has no boundaries to educate. Taare zameen par is the first film that is so inspiring and moving that my watching time does not stop shedding tears. I am fascinated by being conquered. love the whole team taare zameeb par. Until now, more than 70 thousand views. This film is very touching. I lost myself and tears flowed.
Taare zameen par is not just a film but a very strong lesson-oriented image for all age group, anyone who’s going to watch or has watched is definitely a good person. Directing debut from Aamirkhan. Amazing creation by Amirkhan. Every parent, teacher and kids should watch this amazing film. In my opinion Taare zameen par is a beautiful and incomparable film. Aamir khan’s acting is impeccable with the minute observation here, amazingly this is the correct certificate. He managed very well to bring a touch of life to the character named RAM SHANKAR NIKUMBH Art, the motivational psychologist teacher. That’s why he wanted to be replaced as Painter Amol Gupte. His strong convictions believe his dedication to this factor as a director debut, managed well and won the hearts of all.
So every child is special. They have expertise in their respective fields. For parents, do not only demand that the child always get the best grades or demand that the child be perfect, but guide the child so that he can give the best he can. Like flowers, not all bloom at the same time. Likewise with children, they will succeed or shine at the right time.

I get conclusion about banana split.
There’s something about the summer in between high school and college. Friendships break up or become super clingy, due to all that impending separation anxiety. Romances break up. People get way too drunk and hug it out. Tears are shed. Things get a little … intense. “Banana Split” takes place during such a summer, complete with brightly-colored chapter markers: “89 Days Until Orientation,” and etc. Even with the clock running down, there’s an in-between feeling, a “this is forever and yet it’s also ending” feeling, nicely captured by director Benjamin Kasulke, with poignant and sometimes funny needle drops, and two excellent central performances from Hannah Marks and Liana Liberato. There’s a lot more complexity here than may meet the eye, even with the title’s broad-stroke (so to speak) double entendre.

Banana Split” opens with a montage, a bold and not entirely successful choice, showing the falling-in-love, virginity-losing, and eventual old-married-couple-fighting of April (Marks) and her hottie boyfriend Nick (Dylan Sprouse). As the montage reveals in a quick succession of scenes, they’re together for two years (basically a 40-year-marriage in high school years). But when April gets into Boston University, all the way across the country from Los Angeles, things change. Nick is going to school locally in California. He’s hurt she would make such a choice. The two don’t break up in a formal way. April still thinks they’re going out, until one day she notices something horrifying: Nick posting pictures on his Instagram of him making out with another girl.
April is a pretty tough cookie, and judging from her mother (a very funny Jessica Hecht), and her trash-talking younger sister (Addison Riecke), the apples all fall from the same tree. Tough as she may be, April is devastated by Nick abandoning her (and confused by him still texting her). Luke Spencer Roberts plays Ben, friend to both Nick and April, who finds himself stuck in the middle. Meanwhile, April becomes obsessed with this new girl, who has dropped into their crowd from out of nowhere. She is Clara (Liana Liberato), a coolly beautiful and confident blonde, and April glowers at her from across crowded parties, getting way too drunk, tears pooling up in her eyes.

    Express
Unbroken is a war drama film produced and directed by the beautiful actress Angelina Jolie. The film, based on the non-fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand entitled Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption, is played by Jack O’Connell (Louis Zamperini), Miyavi (Mutsushiro Watanabe), and Garrett Hedlund (John Fitzgerald ).

The film starts from the childhood of Louis Zamperini who is usually called Louie. A child of an Italian immigrant who lives with his family in the United States. In contrast to his proud brother Pete Zamperini, Louie is known to be very naughty. But her brother believed that Louie had tremendous potential. Seeing Louie’s very fast running ability while running away when he gets into trouble, Pete trains Louie to become a professional runner. This is where Pete teaches Louie a philosophy of life that he always holds until the end of the story “If you can take it, you can make it”. If you want, you can do it. The sentence was taught when Louie was about to give up practicing. If we can endure suffering during the process we will get what we aspire to in the end. That’s what the quote means.

Louie then very quickly managed to crawl from a runner at the school, state level to representing the United States in the Berlin Olympics in 1936. In the Berlin Olympics scene there is also an interesting story when Louie fell behind at the end of the line to the last lap, but then at the second – At the last second with his determination he was able to overtake his competitors and set the record to run 5000 m. Even though she did not come out as the winner, Louie managed to beat the record for US main runner Don Lash, the voice of the commentator on the radio made the Louie family in the US to cry with emotion when Louie came out as the record scorer of the fastest run in the US. With the touch of the right music, this scene also makes us realize that if we want we can of course add goosebumps in disco.

But unfortunately, history records the outbreak of World War II. Louie like most young Americans at that time finally decided to enlist in the military. This is where Louie’s real suffering began. The fighter he was using exploded and all the crew on board died except Louie, Mac and Phil. They can survive on inflatable boats and bobbing for decades in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. On the rubber boat, Louie’s survival strength was tested. Starvation and drought made them really dying. He had to kill the pelican that perched on the rubber boat and then eat it raw to survive. Mac, one of his friends who had been pessimistic from the start finally died on the 46th day on the rubber boat.

The next scene is Louie being found by a ship, unfortunately the ship belongs to the Japanese army. As the saying goes, leaving the tiger’s mouth into the crocodile’s mouth. Instead of getting treatment, Louie was separated by Phil and put in a Japanese detention camp. That’s where he met Mutsuhiro Watanabe. A very sadistic and snobby camp commander. He beat up the prisoner who dared look him in the eye. The prisoners nicknamed him “Bird”. He knew that Louie was an Olympic athlete, so he often tortured Louie more than the other prisoners. Although sadistic, the character Bird, which is played very nicely by a Japanese singer, Miyavi, is quite complex. He still enjoyed putting on the theater performances played by the prisoners. He was secretly amazed by Louie’s character, who always got up again when he was hit, even to his astonishment. Louie’s fighting strength, who always endured the harshness of his torture, inspired other prisoners.

The incident became more interesting when Louie was asked to broadcast the news via Japanese propaganda radio that he was still alive. But it turns out that after that, he was asked to broadcast that he was anti-American with a guarantee of a very luxurious life when compared to the detention camp. He saw several soldiers who joined in to radio Japanese propaganda so as not to be returned back to the detention camps. Following her heart, Louie finally chose to return to the detention camp. Arriving at the camp, Bird was suddenly surprised and returned to teach Louie a lesson because he felt “brave”.

Not long after that, Commander Watanabe alias Bird was transferred, but soon the detention camp was forced to disband because the area was under American control. Louie reunites with Bird at the labor camp. They were forced to transport mining goods. The climax was when Louie was challenged by Bird in a very weak state lifting a giant wooden block. Bird said “if he drops it, shoot him”. An executioner who was ready with his firearm stood in front of Louie, who was half dead to keep her straight. All of my fellow prisoners felt that this was the end of Louie’s history. But Louie persisted, until Bird beat her out of annoyance. Shortly after that the prisoners were lined up because the announcement that the US army had won arrived. And all at once changed.

Louie without vengeance visited the Watanabe Commander’s room, but he had escaped leaving behind a dramatic scene in the form of a simple Watanabe’s room with a wooden stick that he often used to beat prisoners and a photo of himself as a child with his father. The film ends with photos of Louis Zamperini after returning to America. In 1946 Louie married with two children, and Watanabe was a prisoner of war until he was granted amnesty by the Americans in an effort to make peace with Japan. After that Louie returned to Japan to make peace with Bird but Bird refused. Louie again had the opportunity to run the Olympics at the age of 80, in Japan.

    Movie: A Bug’s Life

    Review:
It’s almost a shame that A Bug’s Life is debuting so close in the wake of Antz (although, to be fair, the latter film was the first to enter production). No matter when the Pixar/Disney production reached theaters, comparisons between the two computer-animated insect movies would be inevitable, but, with only seven weeks separating their openings, those comparisons will be more intense. Fortunately, A Bug’s Life can withstand the scrutiny. Despite a number of similarities to Antz, there are enough variations in plot and tone to warrant another visit to the unique and wondrous world existing beneath the blades of grass.

In a head-to-head comparison, it’s easy to make an argument for either Antz or A Bug’s Life as the best entry in almost every category that the two share. Antz contains somewhat more mature content; A Bug’s Life is designed a little more with kids in mind. However, as is true of Antz, the story presented in A Bug’s Life works well on two levels. Children will appreciate the likable characters and fast-paced adventure; adults will marvel at the skillful animation and subtle humor. For “star power,” Antz undeniably comes out on top, with instantly-recognizable names like Woody Allen, Sylvester Stallone, Sharon Stone, and Gene Hackman (as opposed to David Foley, Denis Leary, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Kevin Spacey). But it’s important to note that immediate voice recognition doesn’t necessarily add anything to a performance (although, admittedly, it’s fun to hear the banter between Allen and Stallone). The vocal acting in A Bug’s Life is no less accomplished or effective than that in Antz. Visually, the films are both brilliantly detailed and wonderfully textured. A Bug’s Life gives new dimensions to the diminutive world – a place where raindrops are dangerous projectiles, single berries provide full meals, and the most feared enemy is a bird. And, while most of Antz relies on earthy tones, A Bug’s Life explodes with a cacophony of color. Of the three computer-animated feature length films to reach the screen thus far, this is the most dazzling.

I have watched this film no more than 1 or 2 times, but many times, I really like this film because it is played by animals, namely beautiful birds that are very attractive. Rio is a 3-dimensional animated film from the US in 2011 produced by Blue Sky Studios and directed by Carlos Saldanha. This film tells the story of a male bird / male macau (blue), which initially cannot fly, to be mated with a blue macaw (jewel).

This film has a back and forth plot, because at the beginning of the film it is progressing, then after almost halfway back, it explains how a woman with glasses (Linda) found a blue macaw (blue), so with a plot like that it makes us more curious to see. until the end. And because this film is also an animated film with animal characters, it makes me more interested.

My argument about this film is that it is very good to watch and also interesting especially for children. Because at the beginning of the film, we have been treated to intimacy between the owner of the blue bird (Linda) and the bird (Blue), with his intelligence and agility which makes the owner very fond of his bird. However, the blue cannot fly, even though it has been trained by Linda many times. In the wild, this type of bird is extinct and there are only 60 birds that are protected and kept in rearing. Then Linda’s lover, a scientist from Brazil, Tulio (Rodrigo Santoro), tells Linda that Blu is the last type of cacao bird, and he has to take him to Rio, so he can mate a female bird to be able to preserve his species. In Rio De Janeiro, Blu meets a female macaw, Jewel (Anne Hathaway), and Blu is attracted to him, and Jewel runs away right away. . Then at their shelter, the birds are attacked by smugglers to kidnap Blu and Jewel who are assisted by a parrot, Nigel (Jemaine Clement), a bird who is rather sadistic and has a thick Jamaican accent, who disguises himself as a sickly bird. and Jewel were captured and chained together. But Blue and Jewel kept trying to escape. And finally they succeed and get lost in the forest. Nigel asks for help from a group of monkey thieves and their king Mauro (Brian Baumgartner), to find Blu and Jewel. Linda and Tulio also try to find Blu, helped by Fernando. And after going through several obstacles, finally Linda and Tulio found Blue and Jewel, where at that time Blue was able to fly alone because it saved Jewel who almost fell. Linda also feels very happy to find Blue and see him fly.

This film teaches us to be more optimistic and courageous, and teaches us to be honest. In this film, it is also stated that we must preserve animals so that they do not become extinct

Title : Tinkerbell “The Secret of the wings”
After I watched the film Tinkerbell: Secret of the wings, I felt that the love between the siblings was really great, besides that I remembered my sister. Okay, back to the film, this film is one of the cartoon animation films that I like the most, not only because of seeing the cute tinkerbell and periwinkle but because I was impressed to see this film giving a message about sincere love and kindness with his sister.
This film tells the story of the life of two fairy worlds that are different from the world, seen from the cover we already know that the tinkerbell is from the summer world, and the right side of the periwinkle is from the winter world. The beginning of the story is from several fairies who get orders to knit baskets. Tinkerbell who has lived happily together with his friends in the world of summer. But because Tinkerbell has a high curiosity, he broke the rules and crossed into the world of winter and this is where the adventure begins, many surprises in which Tinkerbell meets his brother, Periwinkle, who has similar habits and faces. From that moment on they were determined to always be together even though their world was different, but Tinkerbell could not afford to be too long in the world of winter and had to return to his world.
Over time they finally looked for a way to unite the two worlds. And it turns out it’s not as easy as turning the palm of the hand, it’s very difficult and doesn’t run smoothly, even the ideas they run mess up everything. However, because it was carried out together, they were finally able to solve the problems that occurred together.
Many moral messages contained in this film, namely:
A siblings affection is more than anything else. Because siblings are people who understand we can be friends even the best friends ever.
Even though tinkerbell and periwinkle are in different worlds, the warmth of love is still strong, so it means that distance is not a barrier in their life to always be together.
A problem, no matter how big it is, if done together, it will be easy to overcome. So always do good.
Okay, finally this film really emphasizes friendship and sisterhood, So I recommend this film is very good for children and also for teenagers, because this film gives a lot of good messages.
    Thank you

    Tittle : Mulan

The film Mulan tells the story of a young Chinese woman who disguises herself as a man to fight in her father’s place. As a child, Mulan was burdened with the task of bringing honor to her family. Meanwhile, Mulan’s family has no male members other than her own father. The condition of his father who is old, then makes Mulan run away from home with his father’s war equipment and clothes. He then joined other soldiers and took part in pre-war training. Hua Mulan took on the role of her father in the royal army. Mulan fought for 12 years and got the highest honor, but she refused all awards and chose to retire back to her village.

In Imperial China, Hua Mulan is an adventurous and active girl, to the disappointment of her parents, who hopes that one day she will be wed to a good husband. As a young woman, Mulan is forced to meet with a matchmaker to demonstrate her fitness as a future wife. Mulan, flustered, attempts to pour tea in front of the matchmaker, but a spider causes a panic that destroys the kettle, and the matchmaker calls her a disgrace in front of her family. To the north, an imperial outpost is invaded by Rouran warriors, under the leadership of Böri Khan. They are assisted by the witch Xianniang, who uses her magic to pose as a surviving soldier and report the attack to the Emperor of China; he then issues a conscription decree ordering every family to contribute one man to fight Khan’s forces. Imperial soldiers arrive in Mulan’s village to enlist recruits and her elderly and frail father Hua Zhou is forced to pledge his service as he has no sons. Realizing that her father has no chance of survival, Mulan flees with his armor, horse, and sword to join in his place.

Mulan is an agile, brave child. He’s good at martial arts. His chi power was strong, on the level of a warrior’s strength. But Mulan didn’t make her parents proud. Because there is one problem. According to the mother, it is inappropriate for girls to run after chickens on roof tiles. Her mother said that girls should honor their families by being gentle, graceful, elegant, calm, polite, and obedient, so that when they grow up they can be matched immediately. Not by taking up arms at war. Just as Mulan did once the order of the emperor came requiring each family to “donate” one man to become a fighter to combat the rebel forces on the front lines of war. In place of his father who was too old and lame to fight, Mulan quietly left in the middle of the night. Taking the father’s sword, armor and horse. And he broke the three codes of honor of a warrior. Loyal, Courageous, and Honest.

The value that can be taken from this film is a high risk of being able to pay off with satisfactory results. Disguising yourself as a man, training to be a soldier, and fighting for the safety of the country are not decisions that can be taken immediately without careful thought. Mulan gives off the impression of a pretty tough tough girl without the need for a gorgeous dress and stunning hair and makeup. Mulan’s big risky struggle for her family and country is certainly not in vain, Mulan returns as a hero who fights for her country and makes her family proud. And another value that can be taken is the perception and label of women’s beauty, as a woman we can dream and can be anything, even though this is unusual and still considered taboo. We are all different and not all women should be labeled as symbols of outer beauty and like all things feminine.

    Thank you

Title: how to train your dragon 3 (the hidden world)
Finally, on February 22, 2019, the second How to Train Your Dragon film was released, I am very excited about the release of this film and even now I have repeated it many times.
This film tells the story of the son of a viking leader who is friendly with a dragon.
Their friendship continued into adulthood and Hiccup eventually became the leader of the Vikings.
In the third session of the how to train your dragon, the film tells more about the journey of Hiccup who tries to find new lands for his nation to live in. They called it the dream land of the Vikings and dragons.
Besides that, this film also tells the story of the toothless struggle to find and get their partner, until at the end of the film they managed to find a dream land for the vikings and dragons. And this film ends happily, in the end Toothless Dragon has a family. and Hiccup, the leader of the Vikings, also has a family, here it is also told that at the end dragons and humans can live peacefully side by side.
I think this film is a very creative film, and very unpredicted. Besides that, this film also offers an extraordinary imaginative side, and sometimes I even imagine riding a dragon.
The values that we can learn from this film are about friendship, how to take good care of a friendship so that it lasts a long time, and also this film teaches us about persistence in trying, unyielding nature and an attitude of trust in one’s own abilities, and even this film according to i am very friendly for all ages.

  17. “Aladdin (2019): Being Yourself Is More Amazing (Atika Putri Melsan – NIM. 1814050014)”

Aladdin is one of the best films produced by Walt Disney Pictures in 2019. This film is a live-action adaptation of the Disney animated film of the same title (released in 1992).
The story is still the same but I think this one is more interesting and I really enjoyed it. Honestly, this film is my favorite movie since I was little, I used to watch animated cartoons for kids. This film has the genre of fantasy, musical, adventure, and romance. I think this film is perfect for watching together with family.

Aladdin is an orphan who lives in a country in the Middle East, more precisely in Agrabah. He lives with a pet monkey named Abu who is also his best friend. They live by stealing so they are called street rats. Aladdin then fell in love with a princess named Jasmine. Once upon a time, Aladdin, who was caught stealing, was asked by Jafar to enter a cave and take a magic lamp. But Jafar’s evil intentions failed because in the end it was Aladdin who got the magic lamp. When Aladdin rubbed the lamp, a genie came out who said he would grant his request. Aladdin’s first request wanted to get out of the cave, Aladdin’s second request wanted to become a prince so he could get Princess Jasmine. But it turned out that Princess Jasmine was not stunned by it, until one night Aladdin invited Princess Jasmine to go on a magic carpet and tour the city of Agrabah, making Princess Jasmine stunned. Then Jafar tried to seize the magic lamp, but in the end his attempt failed and Jafar’s evil intentions were discovered by the Sultan, so he was eliminated. And Aladdin’s third request is to free the genie from the magic lamp. In the end Princess Jasmine was allowed by her father to be her successor to become the Sultan, and her father approved of Jasmine’s relationship with Aladdin. They then got married and everyone was happy.

I really like this film, first because it is made in the form of a musical drama so that it doesn’t make you bored at all. Especially when Aladdin and Jasmine were flying with a magic carpet and singing “A Whole New World”, OMG I really enjoyed it because it was one of my favorite songs. Then the feel of the Middle East with the style of the building, the typical clothes of the people there, also the music like the song “Arabian Night” I really like that. The point is this film is very good, entertaining, and not boring. And for those who have not watched this film I recommend that you must watch it.

The value that can be taken from this film is that actually being yourself is more amazing than trying to be like other people. Like the love story of Aladdin and Jasmine, where true love is not seen from the material but from what Aladdin is. Then that woman can also become a leader, like Princess Jasmine, who proved that she could be the successor of her father in the kingdom. Then the meaning of friendship is more than anything else, it can be seen when Aladdin prefers to make his three requests to free the genie from the magic lamp. Finally, we must not be greedy because it is in accordance with our religion that excess is not good. : “)

Avengers Endgame: Dare to take action

This film is a film that tells the story of several superhumans who work together to protect the earth from the attacks of Thanos who are very cruel and want to destroy the earth. We are presented with superhero actions that are very riveting and very reliable to protect the earth. Some where they have to dare to make decisions that are even at very big risks.

The scene begins with the earth starting with life after Thanos snapped his fingers and killed half of the earth’s population. The avengers also mourned their negligence in keeping the stone from the vision and Dr. Strange. They then returned to looking for new ideas to return all residents including the Avengers again by way of Time Travel. finally their mission was successful despite facing several conflicts and having to make tough decisions. And finally half of the earth’s population and the avengers return, but Thanos also comes from the past. and this time the mission is to destroy the earth and the avengers. Finally, the united forces of the Avengers can defeat Thanos and his troops even though Tony Stark must take the stone in his hand and cause him to die.

so in this film we can see the courage of the avengers to make decisions even though it endangers them. in the end it can produce optimal results by saving the inhabitants of the earth but must take the life of one of them, namely iron man.

in this film we can take a lesson that we must be brave to make decisions. this decision is ultimately a reference for the future. Tony Stark’s decision to take all the energy from the rock so that Thanos wouldn’t snap it resulted in a halt to Thanos’ attack and the inhabitants of the earth being saved. That’s the big decision Tony Stark has to make. like that we can make an example in making decisions but we can control it to design what risks will happen later. Dare to make decisions.

  19. “Escape Room (Anggri Saputra_1814050057)
The film I will review is “Escape Room”. This film tells about five people consisting of two women and three men their names are Zoey, Ben, Jason, Danny and Amanda. they each get a shipment of a charcoal black mystery cube that is anonymous or the sender is unknown, making them wonder and wonder why they were sent the cube. Just as the name implies, the cube has a mystery that must be solved through a certain pattern and the five of them managed to uncover the contents of the cube which turned out to be an invitation to take part in the mystery room challenge with a prize of 10,000 dollars. following their curiosity, these five people decided to fulfill the challenge of this mystery room because some of these five people really needed money, some were just curious and some really liked challenges and mysteries.
This film has a forward plot at the beginning then backwards, because at the beginning of the film we are immediately treated to a very precarious situation from one of the team members in the mystery room, namely Ben. why only Ben is shown in my opinion after watching the film, the meaning of this may be because Ben was the only one who managed to escape to the last room of the estimated 93 rooms. then the plot goes back to three days before Ben’s situation happened, namely how they got the cube and the mystery room invitation. the plot continues so until it meets in the initial scene of Ben which stops when he screams because he is being pinned by an increasingly narrow room.
The initial thrill of watching this film is filled with curiosity. in the genre of this filmmaker has succeeded in making this film in accordance with the genre. because I thought that this was just a mystery room that had to be solved so I thought that they only needed to complete the mission and look for clues and then win, but my perception was immediately broken by the death of one of them in the ice room which was drowning into a cold river of ice. suddenly I thought that it was just an illusion and at the end of the game they would meet again. on the other hand, those who died in the mystery room had really disappeared from the face of the earth and all that was left were two people, Ben and Zoey. This is a shocking film at the end because of the two survivors, Zoey continues to seek information about the creator of this mystery room who turns out to be a gang of high-class psychopaths who like to see people in difficult situations and die in fear.
The value that we can take in the film is about trust, which is not easy to trust people we just know, either from their giving of something or their initial attitude. then the honesty shown by Zoey and Ben allows them to understand the situation and not be obsessed with victory or money. Furthermore, the sacrifice of several who died allowed Ben to complete the mission to the last room, even though it was not as imagined, but at least they had succeeded technically. Those are some of the values of this film that I think we can use as a benchmark in life and a little self-evaluation.

Title : The Pursuit of Happiness (Tiado Rotan Akapun jadi, Tiado Kayu Janjang Dikapiang)

    The Pursuit of Happiness

The first aspect of the film The Pursuit of Happiness is (Tiado Rotan Akapun Jadi, Tiado Kayu Janjang Dikapiang). This film stars Will Smith, Thandie Newton, and Jaden Smith. The most interesting thing about this film is that it is based on a true story that makes everyone fascinated with someone’s persistence in achieving the dreams they aspire to. The Pursuit of Happyness tells the story of Chris Gardner, played by Will Smith. Gardner is a businessman who has struggled to achieve his dream of being homeless for almost a year while looking after his son.
The second aspect is about the film The Pursuit of Happyness which is taken from the true story of a businessman named Chris Gardner. This film is a series of inspiration for Chris’s struggle in providing a good future for his son. Starting from failing to meet product sales targets, being kicked out of an apartment because they could not pay rent and bills, to meeting someone who inspired him to take an internship offer at Dean Witty Reynolds. Finally, it turned out that Gardner’s finances fell even further as the apprenticeship program began. He also could not afford the rent and became homeless. Facing many difficulties, Gardner did not give up but made it his determination to do an active job. With his persistence, he became the best contender and managed to land a job at Dean Witter Reynolds.
The third aspect, which is based on the film The Pursuit of Happiness, teaches us that a sense of patience, determination, persistence, effort and a sense of never giving up can make the impossible become possible. This film conveys that we must be willing to do whatever it takes to realize our dreams and aspirations. Because of the challenges and difficulties faced on the way, it can only be overcome by taking action and being diligent in achieving the goal. This film is a must watch for the nation’s young generation, because this film really inspires everyone to be more active in reaching their goals.
In this fourth aspect, what we can learn from this film is that we as the nation’s future young generation should never give up fighting for our ideals. Be smart in observing the environment, because it can make our brains think what is the best thing we should do. Then be patient when looking for solutions to any problems faced, then be courageous in taking every business opportunity that exists. And the last, most important thing is that every good effort will surely bear sweet fruit.

Now, I’d to review the film Birthday-2019
This film tells about the tragedy of the sinking of the Sewol Ferry which sank 6 years ago. This incident killed more than 300 passengers and 250 of them are Danwo high school students. The ship that will depart for Jeju Island makes a U-turn with the appropriate coordinates so that the ship capsizes and sinks slowly. This makes the families of the victims of the incident experience great sadness and even traumatize them. In the film ‘Birthday: 2019′, it is retold how this heartbreaking tragedy happened and made viewers tear up. This film is traced from one of the victims’ families who used to be a family split due to this tragedy. Is considered by one of them if he does not love his child. And it was only when the child had tragically died that he returned.
This film has a back and forth plot, which in some parts of the Birthday film reminds us of what happened to the victim. Among them, the child who became the victim made a passport in order to go to Vietnam where the father worked because he had not returned to Korea for a long time. This child took the initiative to meet his father, but failed because he joined activities to Jeju and fell victim to the sinking of the Sewol Ferry. The second part of the tear-jerking plot is when several scenes play a tense scene where the ship sinks at a 45 degree tilt, which makes anything perpendicular to the water. Even to save yourself is difficult because of the slope and the old help is coming. In some circumstances when the ship tilted, some of them made farewell videos for their beloved parents and it was really a farewell that made the audience cry. At the end of the film, it is told if the child who is being told is a good child, a child who is polite even to speak, he becomes his manners.
The main thing in this film is when the mother of the child who is the victim still doesn’t accept the death of her child. Every night he always cried and the shadow of this child always accompanied him. In fact, every day he always bought the things this boy liked. The mother seems to have abandoned her younger sister because the mother’s psychological condition was devastated by losing one of her children. His younger sibling was asked to do something himself, starting from getting up, going to school, eating, washing dishes and several other activities. It seems that such actions are too burdensome for the younger brother who is still young but has already been given a burden because the mother has not accepted the death of the brother. But I think this film is very good and quite draining of emotions when watching it. Things that I have never found from other films. A documentary film that seems to tell details of life until death because of the tragedy.
My opinion about this film is more to the real mother, because her mother’s actions indirectly also give sadness to the younger sibling who every day how her mother cries and mentions the name of the older brother even though he is already dead. The mother tends to think of the child who has died compared to the younger sibling who is still alive and of course she really needs the mother’s attention while growing and developing. The values that can be taken from this film, in my opinion, are when we have to be good people, love family, and also be friendly to anyone because when we die people will remember us with good things too. But what is my special assessment here is about Korean culture. If there are relatives or relatives who die, they will have a meal with their family or relatives at the funeral home. They even drink mostly alcoholic drinks including soju. This is very different from Indonesian culture, where if a relative dies, of course we will organize it according to our religion, let alone Islam. And there is no food for food at the time of death, at most just holding a prayer together.

The film tells the story of Xian (Celina Jade), the daughter of a billionaire who is the target of murder. The culprit is a group of assassins consisting of Collins (Scott Adkins), Joey (Michael Bisping), and Devereaux (Michael Jai White). Xian becomes a target because his father tries to bring down a big criminal syndicate. In order for this not to happen, Xian’s father hires a group of assassins, consisting of Payu (Tony Jaa), Jaka (Iko Uwais), and Long Fei (Tiger Chen), all from Asia. It was as if there was a battle between two camps, Asian and non-Asian. Payu and the team must defeat the opponent’s assassin before they kill Xian. There are two big tasks here, guarding Xian and fighting Collins’ team.
A mercenary (Iko Uwais), whose wife was killed in a commando attack, vows revenge on the two men (Tony Jaa & Tiger Chen) he thinks are responsible. Little did he know, these two wealthy warriors were also betrayed by the real culprit, two hired terrorists (Scott Adkins & Michael Jai White) who were recently hired to kidnap an heir (Celina Jade) who used his wealth to wipe out the underworld of Southeast Asia.
The good thing about this film is to arrange a strategy to take revenge against the American and British soldiers as well as the rescue mission of Xian, by using Payu and Long Fei as bait.
The value contained in a triple threat film is the side of humanity, assigned to protect the daughter of a billionaire, a group of assassins who Xian hired have the task to fight a group of other assassins. Laru and Jaka have a double and quite heavy duty, namely fighting the murderers and also protecting Xian’s life from the killings that Collins’ team will do with action. Asian martial arts choreography combined with combat.

  26. Spongebob : Sponge On The Run (Wessy Rahmandani Wahid – 1814050031)

Spongebob: Sponge on the Run is a movie from our favorite cartoon “Spongebob”. Spongebob cartoon actually directed by Stephen Hillenburg, but after he passed away Spongebob: Sponge on the Run directed by Tim Hill. This movie is the first of Spongebob history that created using full CGI, not 2D anymore. The story given in this movie are so cool, friendship, disagreement, teamwork, faith, and many more interesting things in this movie that would amaze us.

Spongebob: Sponge on the Run began with showing the relationship between Spongebob and his beloved snail “Garry”. Then showing Shandy giving Mr.Krabs a robot with manner just like him, but ended up Mr.Krabs hate the robot and throw it right in front of Chum Bucket. Karen adopt the robot and get it fixed. Later Mr. Plankton tried to steal the secret formula of Krabby Patty but failed because of Spongebob. Then Plankton saw an announcement from the Poisedon who searching for snails, and Plankton decided to hand Garry to Poisedon in order to Spongebob leave the town to search for Garry. Later, Spongebob went home after work but could not find Garry. Later, Patrick joined Spongebob to search for Garry and at that moment Plankton came with a car with the robot that fixed by Karen driving the car. Plankton gave Spongebob the car and the robot to help them to find Garry in the lost city. During Spongebob searching for Garry, Krusty Krab did not have their best cooker so Mr. Krabs force Squidward to cook but he’s unable to cook as delicious as Spongebob. After few day Krusty Krab out of business, and Plankton tried to steal the secret formula again but this time Mr. Krabs hand it to him without any resistance. When Spongebob arrived at Poisedon place, they got caught and sentenced to death because they tried to take Garry. Then their friends came and rescue Spongebob, Patrick, and Garry, but on their way to escape they got caught by the elite troops of Poisedon. Then Spongebob give Poisedon a lesson that makes Poisedon realize that all this time he has no friends because he faking all of his appearance. When Poisedon got the spirit to be who he is, the people love him back, and Poisedon now happy and release them.

Spongebob: Sponge on the Run is a cool movie, beside its fun this movie teach me a lot of life lesson. The way Spongebob treated their friends even Squidward who mostly showed hating Spongebob ended up telling beautiful memory with him. As long as you do good to others, no matter how their response is, your kindness stays in their heart and their memory. I love this movie so much, the first Spongebob movie using full CGI than 2D cartoon. The story also cool, not easy to guess what next in the story. I would recommended this movie to my family and friends.

In this movie I learn so many emotion as an adult. Personally in my 20’s years old I don’t experience much about people characters, but in this movie showed so many characters with different personality. They keeping promises, fixed broken bond, they love to work together. Even Plankton who is in the beginning of the story wanted Spongebob to go away from Bikini Bottom ended up helping him to escape from Poisedon. Spongebob kindness and the friendship is what this movie about, try to understand their friendship and you will know how to be a good friend. This movie also teach us to never miss too far from your goal, because when you do, you will get into more trouble. Focus on what you want to achieve is the key to success. Admit your own mistake is not a crime, and never blame another people on your mistake.

    (Harwita-1814050046)
This film is one of the best family films I have seen. This film is good to watch, not only in terms of its interesting storyline, but also the value that can be obtained from this film. In addition, this film also has no age limit for the audience, so it is suitable for all ages to watch. For me there are many interesting things from this film, so that I never get bored to watch it again and again.
The film Diary of a wimpy kid tells the story of the brotherhood between Rodrick Heffley and Greg Heffley who are often in trouble. Zachari Gordon, who played Greg Heffley, was often teased and teased by his brother Devon Bostick who played Rodrick Heffley. Both their parents have given up on the attitude of their two children. And the brothers have often been given punishment to deter them, but nothing has worked.
The conflict or the climax of this story stems from Rodrick Heflley’s prank towards his younger brother. This caused a lot of problems that happened, until they both were left at home for a few days. Since then we can see that the siblings have tried to be closer and complement each other. Although we can see that there is still a lot of cheating by Rodruck Heffley.
There are many moral messages that I get from this film, one of which is respect for others. From this film we can also learn that we as children must try to make our parents happy. It doesn’t matter whether we are the older or we are the youngest, if we are wrong then we still have to be punished

Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)

The first thing that comes in my mind after seeing this tailer film is just a children’s film that is not interesting to watch but after the i wacth many things I can get from this movie, Kubo and two series have been released on 19 August 2016 is a production film from Laika company, where we know that the film produced by Laika is indeed famous for its amazing stop motion animation.

Kubo and the two strings tell a young boy named Kubo (Art Parkinson) who lives in a cave at the end of the village with his mother, every day Kubo goes to a small village to earn a living by showing his ability to tell the story of a great kasatria named Hanzo, by playing the lute has magic power that can change origami into various character shapes. But the story that is told is none other than the story of his own father, his mother always reminds Kubo to go home before dark, but one day Kubo breaks the rules of his mother suddenly a voice calls his name and he is chased by his aunt who wants to take his eyes, Kubo succeeded escaped from her aunt’s pursuit thanks to the help of her mother who used her remaining strength to fight her two aunts. To defeat the evil forces, Kubo must go through various sircumstances with monkeys (Charlize Theron) and beetles (Matthew McConaughey) to find 3 pieces of the ultimate weapon, namely, armor, semurai and steel heads.

That movie was very glouriously that rarely has a dull moment, because this movie was presented with visual were stunning, the story was grate and the character were awesome. at biginning wacth was stolen my attantion where in first part when kubo’s mother bombing in the sea of strom crashing waves so fierce that at fisrt could be destroyed from the magic harp srtings, but from behind the big waves sighed her until stranded on the beach. with soundtrack is awesome and qoestes that make the movie very intresting to wacth.

There are several moral messages that we can take from this movie, such as us we can learn from Kubo, a boy who is strong, funny, and accepts situations that do not have physical harm. he doesn’t even want to be perfect if being perfect makes him mean. affection is the key to a harmonious life, in a sense the stronghold is accepted by the community even though they do not know where the Kubo comes from. His sincerity, sincerity and strong faith made him a hero. and the last one is the power of love, which is always there, as in the movies, the protection that his mother gave to Kubo is the power of love. And for animated film lovers, adventure I think this film is very suitable to watch where this film is presented which is very amazing.

The film titled A Street Cat Named Bob which was released in 2016 tells the story of a busker with a street cat. This film is based on a true story that was recorded, a story that tells of a friendship between humans and an orange cat named BOB and a rehabilitated drug addict named James, he is also a homeless man who is hungry every day. To make ends meet, he sang all the time, but the money from busking was not enough to buy food. Because he is a drug addict who is neglected by his family, he is determined to get well so that he can be accepted back by his family. He followed a drug rehabilitation program guided by a woman named Val, Val, who was sorry to see James saw James’s sincerity to completely recover from being clean from drugs.
Val tries to get James to get a proper living place so he can help run the rehabilitation program, after in some considerations James gets a place to stay with Val’s help so that James promises to be serious in his rehabilitation period. James was taking a shower, he heard a worried voice. James looked for the source of the sound. It turned out that a cute orange cat was eating james’ seraal, James was not angry with the cat, he instead gave a bowl of milk to the cat. James told the cat to come out and go home to his master’s house but the cat did not want to get out of James’s house. In the morning, when looking for the owner of this cat but could not find it, James finally let the cat go and went busking to make money. James’s life story is very sad, he was often kicked out when he was singing on the outskirts of the shop. James decided to go home, when he got home he saw the orange cat again but was injured, he went to his neighbor’s house named Betty to check on the cat, betty told him to bring a veterinarian, after checking and finally the cat was cured, yes the cat was in called Bob by Betty, so the cat is named Bob. Betty also told James that there was a reason why the cat approached her. With the presence of bob into James’s life his life is not as sad as it used to be. His life is gradually improving. Bob always followed James while singing and this became the spotlight of everyone, many were amazed at how tame Bob was so many gave money and saw their action. Seeing their actions, James was told to write his life story with Bob to be recorded, as a result James and Bob became famous so that their story was booked and became a best seller book and finally asked on the big screen.
This story begins when James Bowen, a homeless man who was a former heroin addict lived on the streets of London. After almost having a drug-related incident, James was helped by his friend to live in a flat so he could get away from the item. This film is very good and can inspire because it is based on a true story, so that anyone who watches it can feel how James and Bob struggle in living life. In this fi it turns out that the real Bob is involved in the film so that people who watch it are not curious about the real Bob. However, the actor James played by someone else, Bob really understood what James was saying so that the audience was amazed to see Bob, it turns out that animals can also understand humans.
but reportedly Bob died on July 5, 2020 at the age of 14.
this film is actually a motivational film that is softly told, but somehow my melancholy side always dominates and makes me cry in almost all parts of it. The first thing is that in the whole story James will never get frustrated and give up on the life he lives.
Second, about the seriousness to be better.
Third, this story is essentially about sincerity that leads to no end. James and Bob’s relationship on the street attracts the attention of many people. If only James wouldn’t take care of Bob and didn’t have a relationship called sincerity, maybe James’s story would never have been immortalized to inspire many people.
Lastly, this is perhaps the most important part of the James and Bob story. At the end of this film James shows his “loyalty and sincerity” to the street world. Despite his success, James has not forgotten the world he has lived in. His success actually encourages him to be good and hopes that people who have “wanted” and become homeless like him can be even better, even better at him now. After achieving his success with his book, James is reportedly active in social activities that help raise awareness of the homeless and run animal charities. Really very interesting right?

  32. Ballerina (Mar’atun Naimah : 184050059)
Honestly, this my first time wacheted this film. Ballerina is an animated film with a music-fantasy genre which has been officially released for the first time at the Mon Premier Festival on 19 October 2016 and released globally on 14 December 2016 starting from France. The film was directed by Eric Summer and Éric Warin and then there were Valérie d’Auteuil, André Rouleau, Laurent Zeitoun, and Yann Zenou as film producers. Writing animated film stories by Carol Noble, Eric Summer, and Laurent Zeitoun. This film tells the story of a little girl named Felicie never give up to achieve a dream, a dream that has existed since she was a child, that struggles for a life.
The little girl named Felicie and her male friend named Victor tried to escape from the orphanage where she lived all this time, because the mother of the orphanage said that her dream would never come true until they arrived in the city and even separated when they first went to town, Felicie meets Oddete, a woman who works for rich people and she lives with Oddete and she tells about the city. Starting when Felicie received a letter on behalf of Camellia Lee hunt to enter the contest, but he admitted that he was Camellia Lee hunti to the guards so that he could take part in the contest, again he was far behind his friends but he continued to train assisted by Oddeto. Until one day his disguise as Camellia was exposed in front of everyone, but his coach said that he had the potential to keep up and he returned to the contest where he would join Camellia. After this incident, Camellia’s mother did not want her child to have a relationship with Felicie, then her mother forcibly kidnapped Felicie and took her back to the orphanage, but Felicie never gave up, she continued to train at the home and the orphanage to Felicia’s expertise then escorted her back to the city. Arriving in the city, he met Camellia who always took him lightly, Felicie did not accept it until there was a fierce battle between Filicei who had the right to become the winner.
This film is very interesting, motivating, also as a reminder if an agreement will be obtained not easily, but also accompanied by fighting determination, and even I do not get bored of watching it over and over again. This film tells of a person’s life experience to achieve their dreams. This film can inspire, a figure who becomes an orphaned girl who is determined to reach her original dream through the wrong path, even though she shouldn’t. He dared to admit his mistakes and be honest about what he was doing with all the losses he would get.
After watching film ballerinas, the vealues was able to pick up some lessons that would later serve as encouragement if one day we hit a saturation point. First is dare to dream, with dreams we will see what goals we want to achieve by achieving that dream. Second, to be honest, if we don’t act honestly, everything we have tried will be in vain without, like the conditions that apply to you, a carcass, then over time the carcass will smell and it will be very detrimental to us. The last one is optimistic, don’t be easily sad, insecure and weak when there is someone who scolds, belittles and makes fun of us, let’s just let it be, but make it a storyteller so that we continue to do something we like and not be burdensome.

The one produced by Walt Disney pictures, mulan, this time is hosting a great deal of enthusiastic, faithful Disney pictures audiences. For not only was the dramatic action but many of the moral messages implied within him. Unlike the usual action scenes, there are a lot of fights, but here are a lot of moral values about community and family life. Many scenes teach tolerance values between each other and helping each other, and it is rare for me to watch action movies that are as much of his moral message as this mulan. These films are great for adults and children, because they have so many moral messages that we can take away.

Tells the story of the plot of the film, Mulan offered herself to take her father’s place to fight against the nothern invaders as the emperior decreed that every male from a family has to be conscripted into the imperial army. It was an act of fiilial piety and sacrifice for her father and family, a virtue that is steeped in eastern culture. I like the opening scene where, as a young adventurous girl, she chased a chicken zealously, from scaling the roof tiles and doing aerial sommersaults just to ensure that the chicken went into the coop, though her father tried in vain to stop her from going through such unbecoming stunts as it is natural for the chicken to run back to its coop. Her bold adventurism did not earn the nods of approval from her neighbours but her father was secretly proud of her bravery.

It’s very good and creative. Because mulan’s film has history. The location was perfect. Educating women to be mentally and mentally strong. Viewers may even be very surprised at the plot of the film which reveals how all of the cast can act so great and the plot unexpected.

The value that we can take from the film. That scene is very telling about the societal norms during that era, where girls have to behave like dainty and demure ladies who need to know their place in a male dominated society. What was interesting was that Mulan has a lot of “qi” or inner strength, probably acquired from years of martial arts training since she was a kid. She hid her “qi” from her male conrades in the army camp but accidentally revealed her fighting prowess during a sparring match with a fellow soldier. Her status as a skiiled and fearless warrior was further cemented after she saved her regiment from being fire bombed by distracting the enemy and causing them to launch a fireball onto the snow mountain which triggered an avalanche.

Ben Stiller is Walter Mitty, a man who looks as if he does nothing, is nothing and is perceived as nothing. Except for during his little fantasies in which he is a hero, but during these weirds moments in which he dozes off, others write him off.
Until he finds a goal in life, which puts in him adventurous situations by accident, which transform him in the man he always was. A unique individual, an adventurer, a dreamer who fulfills his dreams and finds the appreciation he needs and deserves. But the appreciation doesn’t come from other, but from himself.
What the movie does brilliantly, is make the watcher feel connected to Walter Mitty and feels with him. You’ll find him goofy, but likable. Your respect for him will grow with every minute, and at the end of the movie, you’ll love him. Maybe you even recognize your own milestone moments, mountains you have climbed, seas you have sailed, so we all are bigger than we are perceived, as long as you have that respect and confidence from within.
There’s so many thing that i’ve learned from the movie, like about life, love, hardwork, adventure, the meaning of life, life goals, and others.

      Sammy’s Advencures
This film tells the life journey of a green turtle named Sammy. At the beginning of the film, he tells of his journey for 50 years to travel the world and search for the island of Heaven. Sammy has experienced various adventures to find the island. The paradise island is called Lapagos which is said to be inhabited by millions of turtles. And legend has it that to reach the island of lopogor you have to navigate the frozen ocean and tunnels of fresh water flowing.
Sammy, a green turtle, hatches on a deserted beach and while trying to climb a sand slope is caught by a seagull. He managed to escape along with another turtle named Shelly who was caught by another seagull. Sammy falls into an old raft and is carried out to sea, and he loses Shelly. Then he befriends a gray turtle named Ray. They became friends until they grew up. One day Ray shows Sammy the new Octopus friend he found, Slim, but they are forced to take cover from an oil spill, caused by the wreck of an oil tanker. After the raft collapses, Sammy and Ray get caught in the trawl net and the two of them go their separate ways. Several hours later, Sammy was thrown back into the sea. Sammy makes it to the beach and the next day finds himself in a cage, carried by a human and accompanied by a cat named Fluffy. Eventually Sammy shares a cage with a larger turtle named Vera, but Vera is released into the sea because it seems that the two cannot mate. Not long after, the unauthorized hippies are kicked out by the police, leaving Sammy. Sammy returned to the sea and rejoined Vera. While looking for food, Sammy and Vera save a female turtle, which turns out to be Shelly. Sammy and Shelly roam the ocean and wonder in search of a secret passage that Sammy has heard of. Eventually the two turtles dared to face the dangers of the Panama Canal but separated when they tried to get through a padlocked ship gate. Sammy follows his trail to Antarctica, where he is picked up by an Ecologist and taken to California where he meets Fluffy once again. Immediately after being released back into the sea, Sammy was asked by two leatherback turtles to help the turtle trapped in a container. The savior is none other than his old friend Ray. And also Sammy found Shelly. The film ends when Sammy, now a new grandfather, helps his little grandson out of his den and urges him to make his own journey.
Sammy sings adventurous. This film is really good and I really like it. This film teaches us about a strong friendship, namely the friendship between Sammy and Ray that is told in the film. Their friendship is so strong that they even become grandparents. Although sometimes they are separated by a disaster, they are still good friends. And also Sammy teaches us about the importance of environmental stewardship. By not littering, let alone throwing it into the sea. If the sea is polluted, the sea animals will also die from that garbage.
This film is very good and interesting with a variety of funny things that are able to make it not boring, even though the flow is very slow. Although the story is very slow, this film is also equipped with songs that are pleasant to hear and soothing, so that it makes us feel relaxed when watching it. This film is suitable for children as well as adults because the story provides valuable lessons for all of us. and the voice actors work so well that the characters in the film’s animation appear.

    (Gymnastiar Pariski – NIM. 1814050064)

The boss baby movie is a very fun Dreamworks Animation family film. This film, which came out in 2017, has succeeded in entertaining people with an interesting story. The film, which was directed by Tom Mc Grath, was a huge success and managed to make a profit of up to US $ 527 million worldwide. The film also received positive reviews from critics with a 53% rating based on 135 reviews with an average rating of 5.5 / 10. Of course this is a good rating for a film.

The baby boss itself tells the story of a 7-year-old boy named Timothy Templeton (Tobey Meguire as voice actor) who has a perfect life. Like a child in general, Timothy often imagines and plays various roles with his parents such as being Indiana Jones, Luke Skywalker, Jack Sparrow, Ninja and other imaginative characters when he rides a bicycle, takes a shower in the bathtub, even when he opens the bedroom window. sleep shortly after waking up in the morning awakened by Gandalf’s alarm clock. But little Timothy ‘s life has changed since a baby who came into his life was brought by his parents by taxi. Unexpectedly, it turned out that the baby could speak. The team finds out that this baby is called Boss and has a hidden mission. The team did many ways to make her parents realize that her new sister was not an ordinary baby, but she always failed. In the end, Tim agreed to make peace with Boss. The team will help Boss carry out his mission, after which Boss returns to the company that sent him, Baby Corp, where babies are created. That way Tim returned to get the full attention of his parents.

This film is so funny because in this film it is not only presented with interesting visuals or images, but the storyline that is made is very interesting so it feels comfortable to watch it. In this film there are also many very interesting scenes, one of the scenes that I like in this film is when Timothy and the baby boss go by bicycle to chase their parents so they don’t go to Puppy CO. In the scene, we can see that little Timothy who is afraid to ride a bicycle is encouraged and supported by the baby boss to be brave enough to ride the bike, here it is seen that by working together they can solve problems easily. That is what causes me to really like this film, not only because of the interesting animation and storyline, but there is an implied meaning in this movie the baby boss.

There are a lot of moral value in the boss baby film. The first is about honesty where the baby boss is honest with Timothy about his real identity. The second is about cooperation that in the family there must be strong cooperation so that all the problems faced can be resolved easily. The third one is about discipline where the baby boss never wasted time on useless things and remained focused on the original goal. In addition, this film also gives new imagination to children about the question, “Where do babies come from?”

  37. Sammy’s Adventures:
A struggle of a turtle to find his place back
    (Helmayani Siregar – NIM. 1814050004)

After I watched this film, there were a lot of moral values contained in it, and I also like this film, because this film inspires us and we can feel the feel of the film that we watched, Sammy struggle who was so passionate to achieve what he wants. this film also contains many moral values and good role models. I never get bored watching it, I’ve even watched it once and I want to watch it again in my spare time because the film is not boring, and very interesting in my opinion.

In this film, Sammy has many adventures, various adventures that Sammy has experienced, who just wants to find a paradise island which is said to be inhabited by millions of turtles. His enthusiasm was so great he traveled for 50 years to get to that island. On his way, he had many obstacles that he faced on the way. Sammy also almost got caught into the net of a fisherman who was about to catch the fish, but with his sincerity and courage, he was able to survive the trap. During Sammy’s journey to a paradise island called Lapogos, Sammy witnessed how global warming has changed the contents of the oceans, where he lives.

Sammy has traveled for 50 years to reach an island called Lagos. He has a lot of experience. Sammy’s journey of 50 years has experienced various adventures, Sammy also sailed the vast ocean, faced a shark attack, was caught by fishermen, until he had to live with a hippie woman who hoped to marry Sammy with his turtle. But fate does seem to require Sammy to go to Lapogos Island.

Many of the moral values that we get in this film include increasing awareness of the importance of preserving nature, the importance of caring for nature, and how global warming impacts the earth and everything in it. But humans in this animated film are also not always depicted as bad. There are still some humans who care enough about natural conditions and care for Sammy who is almost dead. Visually this film is quite interesting with various spices of humor that make it not boring even though from the side of the actual story this film feels very slow.

Enola Holmes is a story of a young girl who wants to find her mother that disappears mysteriously. Enola struggling to find out the truth and existence of her mother. This movie is recommended because there a lot of value to take and this movie is full of mystery that will keep you watch the movie till the end. To be honest, I am really excited watching this movie because I felling as I get into the adventures of Enola Holmes adventures. So this movie also teaches us how to love ourselves and be brave to find the right. After watching this film I came to know how this mystery is solved.
A movie full of adventures, but also full of mystery will make you full of curiosity. This is about a mother named Eudoria and her daughter named Enola Holmes. One day her mother disappears mysteriously and Enola doesn’t know where her mother is going until he gets the gift his mother left for her. After that, he asked the help of his brother, Sherlock Holmes, a famous detective, chemist, also a sniper to find their mother. Her brother told her to go to Miss Harrison’s School of Personality, but Enola refused and ran away to find her mother alone. On her way, she met a man who also ran away from his family, named Viscount Tewkesbury. Then Enola comes to London safely with Viscount but then they separated to find their own purpose in London. In this movie, Enola is then involved in the drama of the Viscount family, so Viscount is come from loyal family and His family wanted him to join the army and make him the Lord of the house, but he didn’t get involved and eventually ran away. Then Enola also as a young detective turns to find out that a man try to kill Viscout, kindly Enola help him to ran away of the murderer, but in the end, they knew that the one who wants to kill him is his grandmother. The reason why his grandmother wants to kill him is that Viscount is also supported Reform Bills just like his father. In this case, Viscount finally back home and become the Lord of the House and he make make his voice to passed Reform Bills.
However, this movie told us how to be brave in making a decision. So in this story, Enola decides to find her mother alone and refuses to come to the School of Personality that her brother her told to do so. Enola then finds her mother with clues that her mother left behind before she leaves Enola alone, such as a purple ribbon, which is purple is the symbol of feminism which is also a movement brought by Eudoria, Enola’s mother, and the puzzle game her mother used to teach her, and according to this clue that she finally finds her mother. And in this movie, Enola also helped Viscount to go back home and to be a house of the lord and give his voice of Reform Bills which finally passed in parliament. So in this case, the loss of her mother, Eudoria, and the return of Viscount’s home are connected each other.
After watching this movie, there are some moral values we can get from this movie, for instance, the struggle of a young girl who seeks her mother bravely. From this movie we also can learn how to love ourselves. Enola had always shown that she had always believed in herself, and she was willing to risk her life only to find the truth of the disappearance of her mother. Besides, This movie also teaches us to find purpose in our lives proven by Enola Holmes who chose to be a young detective.

  39. KIDNAP (Tomi Pratama/TBI-A, Nim:1814050040)
I like this film, this film is starred by Halle Berry, in this film she plays the main character, this film has a fairly simple premise, about a mother’s struggle to save her child from a kidnapping, this film is quite good in all circles, because it does not really feature adult scenes, this film is an action thriller genre directed by Luis Prieto and starring Halle Berry, Sage Correa, Chris McGinn, and Lew Temple.
Karla Dyson (Helle Berry) is a mother who works as a restaurant keeper. He has one son named Franki (Sage Correa). One day, Karla invites Frankie to a carnival in the area. He got an important phone call and immediately picked up leaving Frankie for a moment. When Karla returned to where Frankie was, she did not find it. Karla only found her child’s voice recorder toy lying on the park bench. Karla panicked and kept looking by asking the visitors. She saw before her own eyes that Frankie was put into a car and screamed for help, Karla was doing a car chase, Karla reported her child kidnapping case to the police station, it turns out that in the US a child goes missing every 40 seconds.
My opinion about this film is that this film is very good, with a simple story line but presents interesting and serious story scenes, I think each scene is very detailed and easy to understand, without many unnecessary scenes.
The moral message that we can take from this film is that the struggle of a mother for a child is indeed very big, that a mother is willing to sacrifice anything for her child, we can feel this when watching this film, therefore we must respect our parents in daily life

    The golden compass
Actually i less interested about fantasy movies, because i like to watching action, science fiction and crime movies. But i am a little bit interested to watch the golden compass. I will explain and give a little comment about this film.
Lyra Belacqua lives in a parallel world in which human souls take the form of lifelong animal companions called daemons. Dark forces are at work in the girl’s world, and many children have been kidnapped by beings known as Gobblers. Lyra vows to save her best friend, Roger, after he disappears too. She sets out with her daemon, a tribe of seafarers, a witch, an ice bear and a Texas airman on an epic quest to rescue Roger and save her world.
The story takes place in an alternate world dominated by a powerful church called the Magisterium, and where part of the spirit resides outside a person as an animal companion called a daemon. At present, poor, orphan and Gyptian children are disappearing at the hands of a group that the children call the Gobblers. Lyra Belacqua (Dakota Blue Richards) is an orphan raised at Jordan College in Oxford, while her uncle, esteemed explorer and scholar Lord Asriel (Daniel Craig), is busy seeking the elusive Dust, a cosmic particle of which the Magisterium has forbidden even the mention. When Asriel returns from his latest expedition, Lyra and her dæmon Pantalaimon (Freddie Highmore) witness a Magisterium agent poison his wine. Lyra warns her uncle, saving his life; then she watches Asriel give a presentation regarding his findings on the North Pole, where he was able to prove the Dust’s existence. The college gives Asriel a grant to fund another expedition that could lead to the discovery of the infinite worlds linked by Dust, thus severely undermining the Magisterium’s hold on the world.
At dinner, Lyra meets Mrs. Coulter (Nicole Kidman), a wealthy, powerful woman who is presented as “a friend of the college”. Mrs. Coulter insists on taking Lyra on a trip north as her assistant. Before Lyra leaves, the Master of the college entrusts her with the only remaining alethiometer, a compass-like artifact that reveals the truth. The Magisterium has seized or destroyed all the others. He instructs her to keep it secret, especially from Mrs. Coulter.
Tells about plot of film is Mrs. Coulter takes Lyra into her home, in a big city that resembles a retrofuturistic London, and starts taking her to socialite dinners and parties. In her bedroom, Lyra gazes upon the alethiometer and notices that it continuously points to a lady, a lightning bolt and a baby. She does not know what to make of her observation, however, and says nothing of it to Mrs. Coulter. Despite initially projecting the image of a free-spirited woman, she reveals herself to be extremely respectful of the Magisterium and its function. One night, Lyra casually mentions Dust; this puts Mrs. Coulter on edge as she warns Lyra never to mention it again, and also insists that she stop carrying around the bag secretly containing the alethiometer. Mrs. Coulter’s dæmon (a golden monkey) attacks Pantalaimon, causing Lyra to give in. Lyra and Pantalaimon discover that Mrs. Coulter is head of the General Oblaition Board, also known as the “Gobblers”, who have been kidnapping local children. Lyra also learns that her best friend Roger and her Gyptian friend Billy have both been taken by the Gobblers.
Morality and ethics have to do with right vs wrong. Plenty of people in this novel are doing the wrong thing: Mrs. Coulter and the General Oblation Board, for example, are downright baddies. Others are doing shady things but with the best of intentions: for example, the Master of Jordan College, who attempts to poison Lord Asriel. Still others we’re a bit hazy on, like the crazy ambitious Lord Asriel. For her part, Lyra always tries her best to do the right thing, but sometimes stuff turns out badly despite her good intentions.
In my opinion this film is very good because the moral message in it is very supportive to always be enthusiastic in any case and can be applied in everyday life. Such as: self-confidence, don’t underestimate someone we just met because we don’t know what advantages he has, loving family is the most important thing because family is the first place we learn about life, take care of each other, don’t ever be silent when you see it’s a crime, do the right thing as best we can, always do good with those around you and help each other, never look down on something. I recommend the golden compass film not to influence children by not believing in the existence of God as the ruler of this universe.

    Loving yourself: Ng Panget’s Diary
Ng Panget’s diary, Eya Rodriguez (Nadine Luster), a woman who lives with limitations and works in her aunt’s food, but the necessities of life are getting more and more, finally Eva gets an offer as an assistant to a rich kid named Cross. Eva has an unusual acne problem in general, Eva’s face is poorly maintained, and her wear is mediocre. Working here is not just an ordinary assistant but like a wife taking care of all the needs of her employer’s children. Not only at home but at school Eva is also a cross assistant. Handover is an accident that succumbs to an accidental death that eventually dies.
Since Eva became an assistant to a child of a rich life, her friends at school have been bullied by acne problems. In addition, Croos is the most popular student, he says, who is crazy about women at school, like Lord Cross’s little friend. Every day there is a fight with a cross who doesn’t want to be regulated, but everything will change when Eva has friends like Lord and Chand who are friends in her school. Where at the graduation party God changed his appearance to be beautiful, here crossover started to drop his heart on Eva.
Like the love triangle between the four characters, God who loves cross and loves God, loves cross. But at the end of the story the story is similar to Cinderella, but Eva is looking for a match for the shoes belonging to Cross who is responsive during the dance on the night of the farewell. The values in general that we can take from this film are that we have to love ourselves. And love our partners because of Allah, but not because of a wealth or have a beautiful face because it will fade in its time.
But in fact these days people will respect you more if you have beauty and glowing skin. So many people are competing to be beautiful for development. In the Koran, it has been explained that humans who were created on this earth are all good creatures. Therefore we must be grateful for what is given to us in this world, including a beautiful and handsome face. thank you

  42. My Name Khan : Rasisme
    (Zilvianita : 1614050122)

The reason I choseThe film for this CCU final project I really like this film because the story presented by this film is very moving especially for those of us who are Muslims because maybe what Rizwan Khan played by Sahrul Khan experienced by other people is Muslim. But living in an area where the population is a Muslim minority and the themes raised in this story include “courage” and the message conveyed through this story is extraordinary, namely the effort to respect each other between religions, ethnicities, and skin colors. . And this film pays attention to autistic sufferers around us and most importantly emphasizes that in this world there are only two types of humans, namely good humans and bad humans who are distinguished by Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala only based on their actions in this world.

My name is Khan tells the story of the figure of Rizwan Khan, an Indian Muslim who from birth suffered from Asperger’s Syndrome, a symptom of autism in which the sufferer has difficulty communicating with the surrounding environment. Uniquely, sufferers of this syndrome have a relatively high IQ so they are considered intelligent even though they sometimes lack emotion like normal humans. Together with his widowed mother, Rizwan lives with his younger brother Zakir Khan in the slum area of Borivali-Mumbai. Not long after the mother died from shortness of breath. Zakir then brought Rizwan to live with him in San Francisco and gave him a job as a beauty drug sales agent for his company. Through a number of therapies, Rizwan is finally able to live independently in the harsh San Francisco before finally falling in love with Mandira (Kajol). widow of one of the beauty salons in San Francisco. Although opposed by his siblings because of religious differences between Rizwan Muslim and Hindu Mandira, their marriage went well. The harmonious family life between Rizwan, Mandira and their only puppet, Sameer, changed completely when a number of terrorists acting on behalf of religion and ethnicity attacked the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York in September 2001. Heartbreaking events then took place at Rizwan’s house. a small family where they have to lose Sameer who is brutally murdered by his schoolmates because of race problems. As a result of helping close friends who are despised. Mandira who was beaten then drove Rizwan away. Mandira implored Rizwan not to return before he told the President of the United States that he was named Khan and not a terrorist. Khan desperately shouted: “My name is Khan, and I am not a terrorist!”. These “terrorist” chants made him the center of attention on cameras and the president’s security forces. Khan was eventually arrested, tortured, interrogated and thrown in prison. Luckily a Muslim news agency sympathized with Khan and wrote that he was actually innocent. In an instant Riswan Khan became a news maker. At the same time, Reese claims Mandira and reveals the identity of the boy who killed Sam. He tells Detective Garcia to help him with the case, and Detective Garcia catches them. Mandira then gets a call from Sarah to forgive Rizwan, “I lost my husband, don’t lose him.” Mandira realized her mistake, she joined Rizwan in Georgia and rekindled their love. However, when he got there, Rizwan was stabbed by Faisal Rahman’s followers, accusing him of being a traitor to Islam, and Rizwan was immediately taken to the hospital. With Mandira’s help, Rizwan survived and met the needs of President-elect Barack Obama who told him: “Your name is Khan and you are not a terrorist”.

There are several cultural differences that we can see in this film, namely Rizwan Khan as a Muslim who is married to a non-Muslim Mandira, in Indonesia interfaith marriage is very taboo, if that happens usually one of them will equate beliefs with their partners (equating beliefs and then getting married). They judge something based on their own culture which is considered the most correct / good and want to have the enthusiasm and ideology to state that this group is superior to other ethnic / racial groups so that discrimination occurs against other groups that are considered weak. In contrast to Indonesia, which is peaceful in its cultural and religious diversity.

In my opinion, this film contains a lot of messages. Regardless of the persistence of a sufferer of Asperger’s Syndrome. In keeping their promises. If you remember Rizwan’s message, in this world there are only two kinds of people, good people and bad people, then what should we choose? And of course after watching this film we choose to be good people who are loved and admired by many people like Khan. We must always remember that there is no difference between religion, race, ethnicity, or skin color because we can do good to anyone. This film also proves the truth of the statement “Behind the shortcomings there is always an advantage” which has proven and cleared the name of Islam from the negative side that not all Muslims are terrorists.

    OF THE LONG ROAD (2019)
    1. The introductory to the movie response;
The Short History of the Long Road is a movie starring Maggie Siff, Sabrina Carpenter, and Danny Trejo. A teenager has to confront the reality of life on the road after tragedy strikes.
Teenage Nola grew up living out of a van with her charismatic father, two nomads against the world. When tragedy strikes, Nola must confront the reality of life on the road alone. She’ll need to take the wheel for the first time learning to own her grief, her past and her new destination.
    2. Review of the plot of the movie :
Teenaged Nola and her dad Clint (Steven Ogg) share a rambling existence roaming the American Southwest in an old van, helping themselves to the occasional dip in a pool that isn’t theirs, singing along to early ’60s pop songs and working odd repair gigs to make ends meet. Clint wants his daughter to learn how to live an independent life with nothing to tie her down or hold her back, but it’s a lonely life with its own set of problems. When Clint suddenly dies, the movie leaves behind the cute father-daughter story and shifts gears towards a painful coming-of-age tale. Nola will have to make sense of the loss on her own and figure how she, still only a minor, will survive on her dad’s life lessons.
Bringing Nola to life would have been impossible were it not for Carpenter’s deeply felt performance. The former Disney Channel star embraces the unkempt look of living on the road, without any glamor or heavy makeup and her hair so disheveled, it looks like she lost her brush weeks ago. Her performance is similarly understated but eye-catching. Carpenter’s eyes tell the story she can’t tell strangers. It’s written on her frightened eyes and forlorn face. The sporadic outbursts of anger and grief make her feel genuine. She’s trying to pass off as a grown-up, but she’s still only a scared child behind the wheel of a very big van.
During her journey, Nola comes to learn a few lessons of her own. She has to rely on the kindness of strangers without her dad there to intervene if things go south. She learns the hard way that sometimes the kindness of strangers has its limits. A few times in the movie, Nola tries to settle down and imagine putting down roots for the time being, but the road and the memory of her father call her back when she doesn’t fit in. It’s a different kind of fish-out-of-water story, where instead of failing to fit in with classmates or other people her age, she just doesn’t feel like she fits in any home.
Fortunately, Nola meets some strangers who really do care about her, including Miguel, a mechanic played by Danny Trejo in a charming performance. Like a few of his other roles, he’s a grizzled tough guy at first but eventually softens up and cracks jokes. Nola befriends another girl her age named Blue (Jashaun St. John) who’s stuck in an abusive home and wants to escape to her aunt on a Navajo reservation. Their friendship, awkward at first but then warm and talkative, helps Nola realize she can use her independence to help other misfits like her.
    3. The main point of your argument about the response of the movie :
This movie is incredible! It shows such a different perspective of living on the road and explores very well the main character’s emotions. It’s a very empowering movie and Sabrina Carpenter’s acting was otherworldly in this.
    4. The remarks, or the values that you can gain from the movie :
    The Remarks on Movies :
No matter how difficult life is, we have to keep going, Always be generous and dare to make decisions, sometimes we can also find family on the streets rather than at home
Values that can be retrieved from Movies :
This film teaches that life is a struggle where we should not give up on our situation even without parents and it is better to make our own decisions than to trouble others.
people who love us not only from the closest people but people who accept us as we are
this film teaches children to be independent
preparing everything the child needs is important, because we don’t know when death will come work for yourself without the need for prestige until these expected goals are realized

The Chronicles of Narnia : the lion, the wicth, and the wardrobe (The struggle against the white witch and the selfishness in the world of narnia.)
The movie The Chronicles of narnia : the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a child fiction film released in 2005 with a fantasy and adventure genre that has very interesting Settings and plots. I honestly think this film is amazing because I remember the first time I watched it on New Year’s eve 2013, where my family and I spent the night watching the film the Chronicles of narnia, and I was awed by the Settings and editors that actually looked so real. After finding out about the film I found out that it has a very tall branch and won some awards and that it made me very impatient to watch every episode released. Every episode of this film is fascinating, but from episode 1 to episode 4 of narnia 1 has an interesting impression to tell, and it’s not boring to recapture. And it is no wonder that it is so popular in all good kids, teenagers and adults because it speaks of brotherhood, family and family.
The plot of the movie is start from four brothers had to move on the threat of the New Zealand world war ii bomb. Their name was Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, a miracle occurred when the youngest of Lucy found a hidden country called narnia in a dresser’s closet while playing hide-and-seek and her brother Edmund who followed her to narnia met a white witch who was evil enough to lure him into a meeting with his brothers by promising to give him a Turkey cake. I see the character of Edmund as greedy and treacherous but as a captive of the witch, but his brothers are trying to save him until he meets aslan, who is king of narnia. Aslan was a glorified and benevolent lion, and he chose to offer himself up to be taken prisoner and asked to release Edmund in his stead. And at the end of the story came the great war between the witch and the follower of aslan, led by Peter, the battle was won by Peter because of the aslan’s resurrection of her death and the killing of the witch forever.
The perfect shot that we can take as Lucy accidentally went into the closet and up to a snow-infested narnia where she met Mr. Tumnus, a deer leg faun. this proved that the level of space design and the edit of this film was very high. And one of my favorite scenes was that when a Wolf tried to mask the existence of Peter, Susan, Lucy and the beaver of witch chase even had to become a victim of the witch’s ferocity. It also gives evidence of the moral value that can be extracted from the scenes in the film. The success of this film increased when many won awards in 2015 and it was a wonderful thing.
This movie has very good moral values.. Among the moral values that can be taken from this film are the following: one, the greed and betrayal like Edmund will be a sad end, the love that aslan shows when an adage offers to help and to love and third is at the scene of a self-sacrificing Wolf teaching us not to be afraid to defend the truth and protect it. I highly recommend this film to watch because it is perfectly suited for family films. And it has no harmful elements so parents don’t have to worry about it.

    title of movie FROZEN 2

“Frozen” 2 carries a heavy load. It continued the release of “Frozen” six years ago, which won 2 Oscars for best animated film and best theme song. “Frozen 2” still managed to make $ 1.27 billion. It’s not easy to get rid of the image of success that was repeated in “Frozen 2”. It needed a script that made sense to keep “Frozen 2” from becoming a lucrative fake project. Jennifer Lee’s hard work as screenwriter and director deserves attention. “Frozen 2” which tells about the journey of Anna, Elsa, Kristof, Olaf, and Sven who find out about the strange sound that always appears in Elsa’s mind and the cause of the death of Anna and Elsa’s parents, and the origin of the power that Elsa has.
Frozen 2 tells the story of the past between Elsa, Anna and her parents. The story of the forest and the Atohallan river which was told by Anna and Elsa’s parents turned out to contain a story about the Arandelle kingdom and the origin of the power possessed by Elsa. Until one day, Elsa heard a voice which she thought was related to the mystery of the existence of the magical forest. She bothered him until he tried to trace the source of the sound. However, Elsa’s efforts were disastrous. Instead, he resurrected an angry soul from the enchanted forest until it threatened Arendelle’s life again. Realizing that she is the source of the problem, Elsa decides to find a way to the magical forest to save Arendelle alone. However, her sister Anna stopped this step, and she didn’t want to lose Elsa again. They ended up leaving with Olaf, Kristoff and Sven. During this trip, Elsa didn’t just explore the source of the trouble between Arendelle and the Magic Forest. But he also finds out the real reason for the death of his parents, which is the source of their strength.
I think the movie “Frozen 2” is very suitable to watch for all people because it has a lot of values that we can learn in the film. And the animation that is served is very good and has a storyline that makes us curious so that we really enjoy the storyline. Not only that, “Frozen 2” retains the song appeal and score of its first sequel. The songs “Into the Unknown” and “All All Found” in the first sequel matched the quality of “Let It Go”. Idina Menzel’s vocals are real, and her vocal power in both songs is distinctive. Not only that song from panic! In Disco, Kacey Musgraves and Weezer performed equally well. Christophe Beck’s scoring can be said to maintain a pleasant atmosphere even during exciting adventures.
In the film “Frozen 2” we can reap the value of one of them is to love and protect each other. Elsa grew up and became Queen Arandelle, Elsa often heard mysterious voices from nowhere. This bothered him and made him curious. One day disaster struck the kingdom of Arandall. This made Elsa feel that the mysterious voice was related to the disaster. He also decided to go to the enchanted forest to find the source of the sound, Anna knew that her sister was leaving, she did not remain silent. As siblings, Elsa and Anna are affectionate. Anna is also responsible for looking after her younger sister. Then he decided to come. Elsa forbids, because she also doesn’t want to harm her sister. However, in the end, Anna stayed behind and they promised to look after and protect each other. According to psychologist Carol S. Pearson, in relation to sibling relationships, intimate relationships between siblings and siblings cannot be separated from the role of parents. The original meaning of parents to siblings and the doctrine of how to treat brothers and sisters is a children’s application. Pearson said: “Parents play an important role in this because they tell their children what to expect and the main patterns the child should have from the start.”

Before getting out of the custody where they were taking refuge they had to go through various obstacles and finally they managed to get into where Albert was and finally they managed to beat Albert and his subordinates and managed to save the people trapped in there.
In my opinion, this film is highly recommended for horror and action genre film lovers. And when I watched this film, it was quite tense and my curiosity kept rising about how it ended. I can’t wait to watch the next part. And also I think this film is not suitable for children because the film has various forms of violence because they are afraid that later they will imitate what they watch.
The moral message that we can learn from in this film is the first that there is so much importance of togetherness, if we are united we can fight crimes of any size. The second is not to be a traitor like Bennet who wants to win alone. And also we have to remain good people because good people are always surrounded by good people. The last thing for girls to be like Alice is a strong woman who can save the world.

  47. Joker (2019) – You are a “Clown”
    (Mutiara Nindya Khairani – 1814050032)
Joker. One of the most iconic villains in DC comic characters. To be honest, I am not really into DC or Marvel Superhero movies. But, I feel the different way with Joker. For me, this is the most related one in our social life. I have watched Joker for about four times now. The first time I watched it, I couldn’t find something special from this movie. This was just a revenge theme movie. But, at the time when I tried to watch it for the second time, I finally can feel the lowest point of Joker’s life, which is pretty dark. And this is becoming one of my favorite movies of all time.
So, basically Joker tells about a guy named Arthur Fleck who works as a party clown and a comedian wanna be. He suffers medical disorder that makes him laugh over and over in inappropriate times. He is also known to have some mental health problems. He lives in Gotham City, the city that full of crimes, with his mother, Penny Fleck, who at the end of the movie is also known to suffer from mental illness. Arthur lives a very tough live. Working as a party clown, he is often bullied physically. The peak is when he was in the subway, being bullied by some evil office workers, and with the gun he had he shot all the bullies to death. Arthur was initially afraid, but finally he enjoyed the killing and felt that they all deserved to die.
This movie is really related to our social life. How someone who is marked as a “clown” is dumped, while people with class will be respected. This movie also describe how easy people making fun of each other without knowing how deep it will mean to them. For some people who suffer the same things as Arthur Fleck’s life, this movie might be triggered them for being an evil just like Arthur did. But, for me, the point is about human being. You bullied people, that is wrong. You killed people who have bullied you, that is wrong either. We cannot control people, but we can start it from ourselves. The success of Joker cannot be separated from the strong character, background, and supportive music. These aspects really make people can feel how hard Arthur’s life is.
Joker really makes me see the world wider than before. I never said that what Joker had done was right, but, we all agree that there is a reason why it happened. I have read a lot of serial killers story, and most of them did that for some reasons, childhood trauma, broken home family, abusive parents, and being bullied. We never know how our words or our acts really give a big impact in someone’s life. Can you imagine your life being a “clown” of society, suffer with some mental illness that anytime can kill you inside, realize that you have been lied all of your time by someone you called Mom, dumped and being let down. I don’t think that I can survive. But, there’s a lot of people out there are suffering those kind of stuffs in their life. Can we just live our life as a human being? This is not that hard. So, never underestimate people. Respect each other.

    Title of movie: FROZEN 2
Honestly, I really like this animated film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. As we know, FROZEN 2 aired on November 22, 2019. Here I am not a spectator who enjoys the two animated films in theaters, in fact I only watched FROZEN 1 through the Indonesian National TV broadcast which was broadcast after several months of release. However, is this not an excuse for not hyping this movie, is it? Due to the fact that even though I only watched Frozen 1 on national television channels, it cannot be denied that I am looking forward to the broadcast of Frozen 2 which has been awaited by millions of fans of this animated film, because the end of the previous film’s story was the frozen film which aired on November 29, 2013 which makes frozen lovers curious, including myself.
In this season, Elsa will reveal the mystery behind the power. I think this film opens with the Flashback technique, which is the childhood memories of Elsa and Anna’s childhood with their parents who became kings in the kingdom of Arandelle. It is told that King Agnar told his childhood story to Elsa and Anna that their grandfather, King Runeard, made a deal with a neighboring tribe, Northuldra, by building a dam in their homeland, the Magic Forest as a symbol of peace. However, a fight broke out because King Runeard wanted to secretly kill the Chieftain from behind, resulting in Runeard’s death. The battle angered the Earth, Fire, Water and Air elemental spirits in the forest. The spirits disappeared and the thick fog wall enveloped and trapped everyone in the Magic Forest. At that time, King Agnar almost escaped because he got help from an unknown savior. The thing that came as a surprise was that what saved their father was their own mother, the queen or the wife of King Agnar. When Elsa was sleeping, she heard a mysterious voice calling her, she followed her and unconsciously awakened the elemental spirits that were disturbing Arendelle, this resulted in everyone in the kingdom having to flee to the hills or higher plains. Grand Pabbie and the Troll colony arrive at Arendelle and Pabbie predicts that they must make things right by discovering the truth about the kingdom’s past. So Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven begin their journey to the Magic Forest, following the mysterious voice, because only Elsa can open the door to the Magic Forest. During their adventures in the forest, many magical things happen, such as the appearance of the spirit of wind, fire and water. To where do they find the shipwreck that used to carry Elsa and Anna’s parents and the map that guides the route to Ahtohallan, a mythical river that is said to have an explanation of the past. I personally think that here Elsa takes over the mission of her parents in discovering the origin of her magical powers. In the end Elsa knows about the past that happened between the two tribes, namely Arandelle and Northuldra, but for one thing Elsa is trapped and has to submit the next mission to Anna via message. Anna receives Elsa’s message and concludes that the dam must be destroyed in order for peace to be restored.
In every film or drama that we watch, of course there is the best scene along the course of the film. And one of my favorite scenes is when Anna comes up with the idea of waking up the sleeping giant earth spirits, and luring them towards the dam, which is being crushed by boulders thrown by the giants. Apart from that the scene where Elsa melts out and returns to Arendelle to stop the flood from the dam being destroyed with her power from destroying Arendelle. I have to admit that this film has a different vibe from the previous film, because it is added by the number of new characters and supporting music (soundtrack) to strengthen the storyline. Making the audience curious. And honestly the scenario for this film is hard to guess. I think this is a good animation. It’s just that there is one scene that should not be watched by minors. Since this is an animated film that is watched for all ages, it is better not to show these scenes.
Basically, every story, whether in the form of a film or drama, must have messages related to customs or culture. For example, in the scene of King Runeard who betrayed the agreement with the Northuldra tribe. Here we can take a lesson that in an agreement, the parties concerned must be committed and not violate the promises that have been made. As taught by Islam, we must be trustworthy and must not be betrayed. In addition, in this season it is revealed that Elsa’s power was awarded as a gift for the kindness of her mother, Queen Arendelle, who came from the Northuldra tribe when she saved King Agnar during a battle in the magical forest. The thing that I can conclude, that every goodness will bring good to those who do it, and vice versa. This is the same as what Islam teaches.

  49. Hotel Mumbai: A Horrific Terror with the Name of Religion (Maulani Almufida Manik – 1814050005 – TBI A)
Hotel Mumbai is a movie based on a true event that released on 2018. There was a terrorist attack lasted about four days at several places in Mumbai, India on 2008. I didn’t do a search before I watched this movie just like I usually do so I felt surprised about what happened. I think this movie is not everyone’s cup of tea because it raises a sensitive topic about the behavior of people who declare themselves from a religion. Nevertheless, there are some values and different perspective that can be interpreted in our life by watching this movie.
This movie begins with ten boys come to Mumbai by a boat. They are divided into duo and have a mission to shoot people on separate places that the person on the phone they called “brother” told to. They also often said takbir and got a doctrine that this is a jihad as said by the mastermind. One of the target place is Taj Mahal Palace, a fame luxurious hotel which visited by many foreign tourists. The Taj Hotel was besieged by four terrorists and they began to shoot the patrons and the hotel staffs brutally. Bodies with blood were laid everywhere. Besides that, they also threw bunch of grenades and set fires to the hotel. The local police couldn’t do much because their lack of weaponry and they are not prepared for this attack so they have to wait the special army from Delhi which take hours to arrive. In such a terrifying atmosphere, the hotel staffs tried to do anything to save their patrons. The struggles of some guests were also seen, such as they had to hide in unexpected places in order to stay alive. The most relieving moments were when the special army finally arrived and eliminated all the terrorists. People can be rescued and they can return to their families safely.
If viewed from one side, this film seems to put a bad image about Islam. Islam is shown to be a violent religion, full of hatred and easy to slaughter non-Muslims indiscriminately. The fact is, Islam is such a peaceful religion which never taught about those things. It can be seen that the terrorists carried out the massacre (which they considered it as jihad) not based on religion, but they expected that the promised money will be sent to their family. Besides that, the feelings of oppression and the exposure of radicalism doctrine also trigger their actions. On the other hand, I was amazed by the courage and kindness of the main character, Arjun, who was one of the hotel staff. He remained calm during the frightening situation and endeavored to protect the hotel guests. Rather than running out from the hotel, he was willing to put humanity first regardless of race and faith people believe in, even though he had to endanger himself.
So, regardless of the sensitive topic, there are still some moral lessons that can be taken from this movie. Acts of terrorism can not be justified at all because there is no religion, especially Islam, that allows murder of innocent people. Terrorists are people who misinterpret the word jihad which creates a bad stigma against Islam. Since this movie is based on true event, my deepest condolences to the victims and the family who left behind. In close, that is why religious education which based on original and shahih resources by learning it with mastered teachers is very crucial, so there are no misunderstandings in learning the religious knowledge. Also, it is very important to prioritize humanity and keep the tolerance between cultures and religions for the conformity in human life.

A surprising fact makes Tris even more convinced when she finds out that one of her mentors, Four (Theo James), is also a Divergent. Tris also tries to survive in the midst of competition and political games to get rid of the Divergent who is considered dangerous.
Tris is a little suspicious when he sees Jeanine (Kate Winslet) who is the head of Erudite at Dauntless headquarters and seems to be planning something with the Dauntless leader. Tris also heard the news that Erudite would carry out a coup against Abnegation, which has been running the government so far. Four also shared his suspicions because there were many shipments of goods and gave examples of injectable drugs that could make people affected and obey their wishes.
Finally there was an attack by the Dauntless group which had been controlled by the Erudite group against the Abnegation group. Tris, Four, Marcus (father of Four), father and Caleb (brother of Tris) fought back by destroying the control center of the Dauntless group.

After successfully canceling the assassination program and at the same time removing the program, the Dauntless troops or group realized. A team loyal to Jeanine tried to get into the control center, so Tris, Four, Marcus (Four’s father), Caleb and Peter (a part of the Dauntless group) who still survived fled by train and they became a non-faction group.

    Strengths and weaknesses :
    Advantages :
    Easy to understand and understand
    · Good acting by the cast
    · Insert social issues in it
    Deficiency :
    · The fight scene is less dominating
    · Some factions are not described in great detail
    · Some moments are less intense or dramatic

    My assessment and opinion:
My assessment of the film Divergent is worth watching, even though there are still some shortcomings. Because this film is adapted from a trilogy novel, hopefully the continuation of this film can be even better in terms of the story, the acting of the players, scenes and moments that are important from part of the story, and others so that it becomes the spectacle that I have been waiting for. recommend this film because there are so many scenes that challenge our guts, here we are taught to be brave in acting.

Message or moral: divergent is an book inspirational book about the search for identity and adheres to the values of the struggle that is good for teens today.the coda helps us to have knowledge about science because it is very important in our daily lives. And here also struggling to challenge balancing so-called IQ with EQ in real life. Because IQ without EQ approval is of course prone to being abused. A good life is a balanced life both intellectually and spiritually and also adheres to the values of good struggle for teenagers today.

  51. Jungle”True story of adventure in the amazon jungle” Loly Variza-1814050028-TBI-B

The movie directed and produced by Greg McLean, written by Justin Monjo that tells the true story of Yossi Ghinsberg in the book jungle. Released September 28, 2017 in Australia. This film has an appeal for lovers of the world of adventurers like me, it has really impressed me, saddened and frightened by this amazing adventure at the heart of the amazon jungle, we all know that the amazon jungle is the world’s most lush tropical rain forest. I’ve been downloads of this film and I’ve been watching it a lot, the fact that it really fascinated me with the flow, the place and everything really impressed me, this film really inspired everyone watching it Because the place and grooves are very supportive of this film.

There were four travelers on their way to the amazon jungle, but what they thought was an adventure turned into a nightmare. Yossi Ghinsberg traveled to Bolivia in 1980 to plan an adventure there. He met Marcus and Kevin at the market. One day Yossi met an Australian stranger, Karl Rupcechter, and Karl said that he had a native Indian tribe to look at, saying that he knew the tribe and knew it. Yossi was deeply curious about the tribe and then returned to his friend and asked him, but they refused but with the persistence of Yossi they were finally ready to meet the tribe. Eventually they were feeding everything to get there, the four of them to Apollo in November 1981, during his early journeys was fine, but his early journeys were fine, and yet his early days, morning after night and then morning again, the selfishness between them began to emerge, they were already deep into the jungle They hunt and they get a big monkey and they light it up and feed it. They made a boat for them to use down the amazon river at first it had a rough discharge, but eventually it grew, and then the waves conquered by camping by the river, but Karl had stopped wanting the adventure and he decided to go back to Apollo, and so Marcus had left Yossi and Kevin, Yossi and Kevin continued their adventure by boat down the length of the amazon river, but the reality of the pahitos was coming, the huge waves that hit them took one to the other, and Kevin made it safely to the river’s edge, and the Yossi that waited for Kevin’s help was finally overtaken by the huge waves and Yossi being dragged away from him, Yossi made it to the river’s edge and then ventured up into the forest again, climbing up a sheer cliff. Yossi spent weeks in the woods with nothing to eat, he ate nothing but cooked bird eggs and he’s been so bad, so skinny and neglected, just someone from another tribe he’d met there. Kevin tried to find Yossi by asking for help to the people in the tribe, but many refused, but one day he managed to get someone to walk down the river and with great difficulty he finally got to meet with Yossi, returning to the full human leadership, all there marveled and wonder at the rescue of Yossi from the forest.

The thing that impressed me in this film was that it was based on the true story of a Yossi. The scene and place in the film was so supportive because it as in a direct shot, the whole film was totally enthralling me, and at the end of the film, the director featured some photo albums or memories of Yossi and Kevin and it added the authenticity of the film. Why do we have to go to this movie because this film is a true story by Yossi of adventure to the amazon jungle, in this film it presents not only an adventure so amazing but also a friendship that never leaves each other at anytime.

The value we can get from our movie jungle is we must have a strong spirit of adventure, we must persevere and we must ever give up, we too must help our friends in trouble. Do not selfish, and if you have to fight together from the beginning to the end, you have to fight together. The film shows that whatever is set must be done, it also shows that the outside world should be an adventure, it’s a beautiful world and we can get it.

The first aspect of the film The Pursuit of Happiness is (a rattan tiado will be made, a long wooden tiado on a cap).

    FREEDOM WRITERS
    INTRODUCTION
This film tells the story of racism in which in Indonesia itself racism still often occurs. One of the films based on true stories in America is Freedom Writers. Richard LaGravenese’s work tells the story of the struggle of a teacher named Erin Gruwell, a highly educated idealist woman who comes to Woodrow Wilson Middle School to teach as a new teacher of English for children who are victims of racial gang fights. Erin’s mission is very noble, she wants to provide proper education for problem children that even senior teachers are reluctant to teach them, when entering the teaching day, everything turns out to be not according to Erin’s expectations, fights between gangs are carried over to class, when entering the classroom. All students pull up their respective seats then gather to form gangs according to their race, none of them want to sit with a different race, a small misunderstanding that occurs in class can run into fights between races. Erin understands her students by giving them an assignment to write a diary, they must freely write down all the events they have experienced and put them back in the cupboard that Erin has provided at the back of the class. From the diaries, Erin understands that gang fights are all news. Through her unique teaching method, she tries to make her students realize that with education they will be able to achieve a better life, even Erin has to manage her spare time to do odd jobs just to buy books that are useful for her students. As a result, the students’ enthusiasm for learning returned. Finally, there were many students from Erin Gruwell who became the first people from their families to continue their education to the university level.
REVIEW OF THE PLOT OF THE MOVIE
Richard LaGravenese’s film “Freedom Writers” tells the story of a teacher named Erin Gruwell with her students in room 203 in the 1990s. After several riots in Los Angeles in 1992, conditions in that city and several cities in California became very unsafe. Gang wars, assassinations, racism, and hatred were all related to that era. Seeing various events like that, Erin Gruwell did not remain silent. She wants to do something that can change and the way is to become a teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, California. Teaching at this high school was the first experience. Gruwell teaches a classroom English class 203 where the students are very pro against racism. The students in the room sat according to their race. Cambodians sit with their friends who are also Cambodians. So it was with the white Negroes, and the Latinos who were in that class. At the beginning of the meeting, his students who were in room 203 ignored him, and even got into a fight while he was teaching. In subsequent meetings the situation was still the same. At the end of the story, Gruwell told his students to combine their diaries in a book that would later be called The Freedom Writers Diaries. Gruwell also managed to become their teacher during their junior and senior classes. The pupils in room 203 have successfully graduated from college for Gruwell’s struggles.
    MAIN POINT ABOUT THE MOVIE
The meaning of this film dedicated to teenagers the California involved in racial riots after it happened riot in Los Angels 1992. Where is Erin Gruwell able to teach they mean tolerance interracial and generate interest learn them so they can graduated from the school. Anti-racism grow together the times. In the 20th century, racism to be a thing opposed. However in fact the attitude still is embraced by a number community on America. Circumstances like this depicted in the film Freedom Writers. Some American society in the film there who are pro against racism and there too who are anti against racism.

    VALUE FROM THE MOVIE
From the movie of freedom writers, there are many lesson that can be learned that the social life in student will affect the existing school system. The chances of their succes in going to school are not the same because the social condition they’ve differents. In education there are also social problems among students, therefore there is a need for education and an understanding of educators for students about socializing education among humans, no need to look at ethnicity or RAS. Because intelligence is not only in intellectual science but also in the science of socializing how to understand yourself and be able to interact effectively with others.

    Title: CELL (2016)

I am a fan of zombie movies, of course many zombie movies that I have watched, but I can say “Cell” is different from most zombie movies. Different in a sense of negative, I mean. Not the fear that I felt, but throughout the film, I was confused. I have even watched this twice and my feeling about it is still the same, I’m still confused and don’t get the point. Therefore, through this I will share the causes of my confusion regarding some scenes in it.

Before discussing my confusion about it, let me tell you the story. In the opening airport scene, Clayton Riddlle who was also at the airport wanted to use a payphone because his phone was dead, then he saw people infected with mysterious signal from their cell phones and turned into zombie. Clayton tried to escape and then met Tom who was also survived. They decided to go to the Clayton’s apartment to hide. Soon a woman, Alice, was pounding on the door of the Clayton’s room. Initially, Clayton thought she was one of the zombies. Realizing that the woman was a normal human, he let her in. After hiding for some time, they decided to continue their journey looking for Clayton’s wife and son.

Well, that’s the outline of the plot. If you want to know the details of the plot, you can watch the film first, before reading my review. Overall, the movie sucked. I watched the movie to the end, and the ending was very confusing. I trying to think but I can’t think of a single thing about what the hell with the ending is it. I don’t know was that sad ending or other types of ending? But I guess this is open ending. The ending is up to the audiences. And I found some scenes that contained plot holes, so no wonder the audiences were confused. Many questions come to my mind, let say, what was wrong with the signal? Who is the mysterious man? What happened to the ending? Why did Clayton suddenly become a zombie too? It seems that he managed to blow up the tower which affected the zombies, but why did he change too? I really don’t understand. I’m sure he was the cause of all this chaos, but until the end, there was no explanation, who the mysterious man really was? And I think that’s the biggest mistake of this film, because the mysterious man is the source of the problem, but he got a little screen time.

What a surprise is the fact that Cell is an adaptation of a book by Stephen King. It surprising since Cell is a bit disappointing compared to the other books of Stephen King that have been filmed, let say, Carrie, In the Tall Grass, It, and many more. But unfortunately, I have never read the original book so I can’t compare either.

But besides that, of course there are values that I captured from this film. Cell has a message that’s relevant to current conditions, that is a critique towards modern human behavior who are very dependent on their smartphones. Smartphones are able to transform humans like zombies who are uniform, uncritical, and very obedient.

    That’s it. Thank u.

This animated film Finding Nemo is a comedy family which is also filled with adventures. The animated film ‘Finding Nemo’ has two characters with disabilities. Namely Nemo, a six-year-old clownfish boy who is full of curiosity and easily influenced. and Dory’s friend Nemo. Nemo has an abnormality in the large side of the fin, this disturbs his movement. While his friend Dory has a very talkative character and has a easily lost disease. The funny thing is, this memory loss makes Dory forget the name Nemo. Even in the film, Dory mentions Nemo as Bingo, Harpo, Fabio, Elmo, and Chico, and Marlin is a clown fish (Clownfish) who has to raise Nemo, the only child who survives the attack of the Barracuda fish. This Marlin lost his wife and other children. Because it causes Marlin Trauma and Marlin to lose their sense of humor and makes him a annoying character, and always complains. Coral is Nemo’s mother. Why is it named Nemo? Because Coral likes the name Nemo.
This Finding Nemo film started on Barrier Reef. In this film there lived a pair of clown fish named Marlin and Coral. They live happily with their eggs. Until one day a baracuda fish attacked and killed Coral along with their eggs except for one egg. Marlin named this last egg Nemo. The most interesting thing in this film is when Marlin always controls where Nemo goes. Because Nemo has a flaw, namely his right fin is smaller, so with this Marlin doesn’t want to lose the people he loves. Until one day Nemo was angry with Marlin who made him far from the reef and was caught by divers. And because of the incident The adventure begins, Marlin goes on a journey to find Nemo. On the way Marlin meets Dory, a blue fish who has a short-term memory disease. This Finding Nemo film is a tense adventure because there are so many wild animals. Meanwhile, Nemo is placed in a fish tank at the office of a dentist named Phillip Sherman on Sydney Harbor. There Nemo meets aquarium fish called Tank Gang, led by Gill. Gill’s condition is the same as Nemo because he has a damaged fin. Bubbles from The Tank Gang Bubbles (Stephen Root), one of Nemo’s friends at the dentist’s aquarium in Sydney. The character of Tank Gang is very funny because he is obsessed with the air bubbles that appear in the tank in the aquarium. Bubbles will catch all the bubbles and no other fish can touch them. Next up are the Crush and Squirt beasts the name of the father and son of the turtle is taken from a beverage brand in America. Crush (Andrew Stanton), a 150 year old turtle, saves Marlin and Dory after the two fish are attacked by jellyfish. Crush was on his way to Australia with his flock and gave Marlin and Dory a ride to the city of Sydney.
Furthermore, there is also the beast Squirt (Nicholas Bird), this brave and playful little turtle that really idolizes his father, Crush. Her big, expressive eyes taught Marlin to live a relaxed life with her signature word “chill.” Well, after that there is a good pelican named, Nigel, his character in the Nemo Wall Film he is kind, helper. This Nigel brings the news of Marlin’s adventures to the whims of the aquarium. Nemo heard the adventure and made him excited to run away. Until Nemo’s attempt to escape it works by playing dead. Finally, Nemo and Marlin met again. This is the thrilling ending of the film Nemo Wall when Dory is caught by a fishing net. Even with a defect in his fin he ventured into the net. Nemo orders all the fish to move downwards which makes him successful in helping Dory. This is what is called helping each other, and finally Nemo managed to meet his father again, this is the Ending who was very touching. Nemo even showed off Marlin’s adventures to his friends. Nemo’s funniest friend is Peach Flapjack small pink octopus or commonly known as pancake octopus because it looks like a pancake. Peach has bigger right tentacles than his left. The characters are very friendly and will pop out ink whenever surprised.
For me who have watched the Wall of Nemo film, the storyline was very exciting and made many scenes and characters that are very memorable until now. The film Finding Nemo has a variety of scenes and funny expressions from a number of characters gracing the film. However, the power of the Finding Nemo story is rooted in the courage and sacrifice of a father (Marlin) to save his son (Nemo). This is the most moving ending. Finding Nemo film also offers tension and humor in the adventure of a fish under the sea. This family film tells about the family relationship between the child and the father.
One of the most important moral messages in this film is the importance of following parental advice. Look at Nemo who doesn’t want to obey his parents’ message until he finally gets lost so far. But because of their parents ‘love, they finally got back together. For Nemo, because he did not heed his parents’ advice, Nemo had to be ready to risk getting lost and be in danger, becoming prey for other bigger fish and catching humans to be used as ornamental fish. Furthermore, in this film, reflecting on Nemo’s new experience of feeling the importance of his father’s presence by his side, people are invited to always respect the people or objects they have now. Because most people sometimes can only appreciate something after it is released from their grasp.

Coulter.
Mrs. Lyra also learns that her best friend Roger and her Gyptian friend Billy have both been taken by the Gobblers.

in my opinion this film is very good because the moral message in it is very supportive to always be enthusiastic in any case and can be applied in everyday life. I recommend that this golden compass film not to influence children by not believing in the existence of God as the ruler of this universe.

Morality and ethics have to do with right vs. wrong. (Two words: Poor Roger.)

    (Irma Indriani – 1814050025)
After watching the film Akeelah and the Bee I can describe it, I can describe this film in 2 words, namely interesting and inspiring. This film is an American drama released in 2006. This film involves family relations, friendship, hostility to education. It provides lessons for parents on how parents should behave in children, how is the friendship and competition of a child at school, to how the attitude of a student to the teacher?
This film tells the journey of an 11-year-old girl named Akeelah, one of the students who excelled in spelling. So, some of her classmates were jealous and hostile to her, but some people still want to be close friends who always support Akilah. One day a selection was held to select school representatives in participating in the National level word spelling competition. Akeelah was down and didn’t want continue the competition because her friends at school laughed at her for not being able to answer one of Dr.larabee’s questions. Besides, the principal asked Dr. Lareebe to be her mentor. After being persuaded, Akeelah Agree and wants to practice with Dr. Larebee. In the race, Akeelah meets his competitor namely Dylan, the winner of consecutive spelling bee competitions. In the competition, there was fraud committed by a competitor, but in the end he admitted his cheating. In the end, Akeelah and Dylan were the 2nd winners of the national spelling bee competition that year.
I had a little bit of shocked when Akeelah looked arrogant to her mentor and decided to go home, but feel relieved when she realized her mistake and apologized to Dr.Larabee then they started spelling practice. Then, I focused on the way Dr.Larabee showed a child who was smart but arrogant like Akilah that above the sky there is still the sky by way of testing her with words she didn’t know. Then, the scene where Akeelah’s mother knew and followed Akeelah to the place of the race and then scolded her. However, Akeelah had explained to her mother hopefully to allow her to enter this race, as it was her dream. This scene moved me deeply. hmm. And Finally, Akeelah’s mother allowed it.
Honestly, I learned a lot of things through this film, the value that I can take from this film is don’t to be an arrogant person, because above the sky there is still a sky. Then, keep trying to achieve dreams. After that, effort will not betray the results. As has been proven by Akeelah, A hard competition can be passed well caused by her efforts and the support of people who closest to her. For parents, just provide support and appreciation for children’s dreams and achievements.

    Title: The Croods.
When the first time i watched this animated film, I really liked this film both in terms of the storyline, and in terms of animation that satisfied me, and most importantly the comedy side of this film was very good. , The Croods is an animated adventure film mixed with the comedy genre. This film was first released on 20 March 2013, but I watched this film two years after it was released. I watched this film because I love animated comedy films and also One of my favorite actors Ryan Reynolds is participating to be the voice actor for one of the characters in this film. From this film, I can take a lot of moral values which are very closely related to real life.
The Croods tells the story of a family in prehistoric times known as the Croodacious era. The Croods family consists of their father, Grug, their mother, Ugga, their oldest daughter, Eep, their son, Thunk, their baby girl, Sandy, and their grandmother, Gran, and another character who I like in this film is a man named guy. It is said that the Coords family was one of the few families at that time who was able to survive the constantly evolving environmental conditions. The Croods family survived by living in a cave, so that they could protect themselves from the threat of wild animals because of their harsh life during the setting in the film. As usual every day they go out hunting for food so they can survive until tomorrow. But all that changed when Eep came out of the cave at night and met a man named guy. Guy began to invite the Croods family to move around and not just live in caves, until they found a better place to live in. After going through a long, dangerous, and overcoming adventure, they can finally find a better place for them to live.
I think after watching this film, The Croods storyline actually uses the old concept of how the characters are a father who has a traditional way of thinking, a kind-hearted mother but doesn’t have a big share in his family, a daughter who grows up and tries to get everything. His wishes, boys who have intelligence below standard, babies who act unnaturally, and mother-in-law who are always hostile to their children’s husbands, and a new character that I said earlier is a guy who tests the resilience and unity of a family he meets. although in the end it becomes a new part of the family. Despite all the shortcomings, this film is very suitable as a family spectacle to fill vacation or spare time and try new things is also conveyed in this film, as well as ridiculous scenes that managed to make me laugh.
I can get many messages from this film. The first, Grug is a good father. He always keep his family very well. He also does anything to help his family, although with his live. And he also does anything to always be together with his family. Second, if we get the problem, never give up and always try to finish it. Third, if we need something like “have breakfast” we have to try to get it with our intelligence, and the last is dont afraid to try something new make ur self can go from the comfort zone because sometime we should do that in our real life. Thats why i tell you before if moral value from this film is related with the reality.

Honestly, I don’t like watching animated films because I think animated films are very boring. But for this monster university film I have watched it very often, because in my opinion this film is not boring at all. Besides that the storyline is also very interesting to watch. I highly recommend this film to be watched by children or teenagers who want to find references to entertaining shows. This film can also be watched by all family members.
This film tells the story of a monster named Mike who holds a study tour to Monster Inc with his teacher and school friends. When he was watching the process of scaring Mike to meet Frank, who is an alumni of Monster University, Frank gave his hat to Mike. Since then, Mike dreams of being able to study at MU. 13 years later Mike becomes a student at MU, when Mike’s ospect meets Randall, who becomes his roommate, Mike meets James who is his rival to become the best scarer. Because of the competition, James accidentally dropped their dean’s bottle, which led to them being expelled from MU’s scaring department. After that Mike and James joined Oozma Kappa for the Scare Games, which Mike’s team won.it turns out that in the last round James cheated so that their team won.Mike who knew about this was disappointed and entered the human realm to frighten James’s children who knew about it following Mike, but they could not return to the monster realm they both got the idea to scare the police who were looking for him to be able to re-open the door and return to his nature, they finally managed to get out after frightening the police but this made them expelled from campus after being expelled They also worked at Monster Inc.
I think this film is very entertaining, maybe for some children the monsters are a little scary. Besides that the storyline is also not easy to predict. Because this film is a fantasy film I think parents should give a warning to the understanding that it cannot happen in the real world to children.
the value that can be taken from this film is that we must be able to respect others, especially friends. In addition, we must respect someone’s process for success and not underestimate the efforts made by others. We also shouldn’t look down on someone just because we think we are superior to him.

The maze Runner movie is one of the best western movies in my opinion. Where this film has the theme of action and fiction which contains the struggle and cohesiveness between teams trapped in a maze. The Maze Runner includes an American science fiction action thriller film directed by Wess Ball. This film was first released on September 19, 2014 in the United States by 20th Century Fox, starring many top players such as Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ki Hong Lee, Will Poutler, Aml Ameen, Blake Cooper, and there are many others. The charm of this film is also beautified with beautiful effects and adrenaline-pumping scenes.

This movie use the forward Plot, Because it tells the story of struggle from zero until they get out of the glade. And in this movie there is no telling of their past. teenage boy named Thomas was taken to a place called Glade. When he arrived at Glade, Thomas could not remember anything. All Thomas’s previous memories had been erased. The only thing that can be remembered is that he is named Thomas. Thomas gathered with other teenage boys who had the same fate. They came, locked up in Glade and unable to get out. Glade is surrounded by a labyrinth that is inhabited by wild animals. The Chair of the Glader (Glade dwellers) explains a set of rules as Glade dwellers. They must work hard to make ends meet. Their fellow Gladers are also prohibited from fighting. The main rule is that it is forbidden to enter the labyrinth. Those who can enter the labyrinth are the chosen runners. The runners every day enter the maze to find a way out of Glade. Anyone stung by a wild animal in the labyrinth, will remember something in his past. One day, a young girl came to Glade. Teresa became the only woman in Glade. This raises many questions for other Glade residents. In addition, Thomas felt that he had ties with these women in the past. Thomas’s curiosity increased when Teresa said that he was the last Glader to come. At Glade, Thomas decides to become a runner and together with the other runners enter the maze to find a way out.

In this film, almost every scene shows a complex setting with many moving parts that are clearly displayed, pleasing, and pleasing to the eye. Full of exciting scenes makes the film even more dancing, from the beginning of the film that has been showered with scenes with various formats from jumping action, to surviving in the field and saving friends. Emotional moments are also seen in this film, where friendship is an important part of their struggle and a sense of loyalty from friends is clearly seen and helps others at critical times.this film is added more millennial because the cast is mostly teenagers, and not only westerners but also South Korean actors. the happy ending in this film makes the audience satisfied because they can be safe and happy in the future.

In this movie, there are many good lessons for the audience. Both in terms of social and nature that must be applied in everyday life. The social attitude is that tolerance in this film does not differentiate between the status or background of the characters. This film also teaches us to be loyal friends and please help. As well as an unyielding attitude and a spirit of teamwork so that you can get satisfying results together.

Honestly this film is perfect for me. Because it tells about the talent or ability in the field of cooking. Just as told in this film, the mouse plays the role of a cook who likes to express himself through cooking by mixing various types of spices and ingredients to create a delicious and full of surprises. I really like this film. In my opinion, the message conveyed by this film through its story telling makes it very easy for me to understand what this film means or convey to the audience, especially for me.
This film is an animated cartoon that tells the story of a mouse who has natural talent. His natural talent is to have an excellent sense of smell in distinguishing things, for example distinguishing clean from dirty or poisonous from non-toxic and being able to distinguish cooking spices just by smelling them. And with this ability the mouse dreams of becoming a famous cook like a famous cook in France named Auguste Gusteu. This Auguste Gusteu has died due to depression or feeling devastated after receiving bad criticism from a critic of Gusteu’s food which led to the lack of stars and popularity of this Auguste Gusteu. Until an incident occurred which made this rat separate from the colony as well as his father and brother. This mouse is very sad and lonely. Then Auguste Gusteu’s imagination emerged, which encouraged the rats to continue fighting and the mouse arrived at his destiny to enter Auguste Gusteu’s restaurant and meet a young garbage collector who turned out to be Auguste Gusteu’s biological son who did not have the talent to cook at all and was very careless. And from the carelessness made by this young man and then the mouse was able to overcome it, then this is where the story of the struggle began to show one’s identity and return to the popularity of the restaurant Auguste Gusteu.
In this film there are parts that make me surprised and also feel strange. Namely at 1.31 minutes, that is, all members of this rat colony come together and are excited to make various types of food dishes to be served to restaurant offenders. And if you think about it, this is a very disgusting thing and makes us want to throw up. And this is very much at odds with health and to the sterility of the food and the place. And another scene that surprised me was 3 times the kiss scene in this film. I think this scene is very inappropriate in this film. And I really don’t like it because this scene will affect the underage audience considering this film is an animated cartoon.

Discussing the values in this film has both positives and negatives. The first positive value of the film is that no matter how hungry your stomach is, don’t ever steal or take someone else’s food. This is also what is taught in Islam. Islam strictly prohibits us from committing forbidden acts, namely stealing, if we are very hungry while we have food and money that can be used to buy food. We must not take shortcuts to steal right away. We must first try in a lawful way to get food because every good effort must have good results. Then the second positive value is that we must continue to strive to prove who we really are and also continue to struggle and be determined to achieve our dreams. This is also what is taught in Islam. Allah tells us to keep on striving to keep learning for the sake of our success. Allah hates people whose lives are spent lamenting their unfortunate fate without thinking of changing their lives for the better. And there is also a negative value in this film. The first is the kiss scene. This is strictly prohibited in Islam. Allah hates those who commit adultery and commit adultery. Then the second negative value is that we should not envy and envy others. Allah really hates this act because all of our sustenance has been arranged by Allah as best as possible in his own way.

As a person who cries easily, it takes a strong determination for me to watch the film. This korean movie tells the story of two debt collectors who are forced to take care of a daughter from a woman in debt who makes the girl a guarantee. There are so many twists and turns of his struggle to look after very children. Plus those who are not married and have no experience in taking care of children.

The film begins when two debt collectors collect a debt from a woman. Economic difficulties make the woman unable to pay debts, interest, or provide guarantees to the debt collectors. That made them take their daughter and put her into collateral. He believes that a mother will do everything she can to save her child. However, the reality was not as predicted. The woman did not pay her debt and was deported from Korea because she was an illegal immigrant. This makes the debt collector very much care for the child. Many conflicts that occur when they look after the child, starting with the arrival of a grandfather who claims to be the child’s brother, in fact, sold him to be a maid at a bar. And finally found again by the debt collector. At the end of the film, it is also shown that one of the closest debt collectors was missing for 10 years, and finally found in a hospital, it was revealed that he had a terminal illness, one of the films that made me cry throughout the duration.

a film that warms the heart and makes people who watch it feel carried away, the early minutes of the film already made me cry. The chimistry of each player was so strong that it touched me. Plus the debt collector sincerely cares for the little child from school to adulthood.

Family doesn’t have to be blood, it made me realize my obligation to help fellow social beings, humans can never live alone.Pawn does not only teach us how family warmth can be obtained from anyone, even from unexpected people. However, this 1 hour 48 minute film also teaches us to make sense of everyone who is present in our lives.

Title : Murder On the Orient Express

To be honest, this is my first time watching a detective film like this. Because usually I am only more interested in horror or romantic films. After finally taking the courage and choosing to try this film, my mind opened up. Why is that? My mind becomes more open that this film, which means a detective genre film like this is no less interesting than the usual films I watch. This film presents a scene where the audience is invited to guess and think about the plot and the main points of this film. I feel that this film is very good, because it is made with a plot that is difficult for viewers to guess. Without forgetting that everyone’s tastes and opinions are different, this is just my perspective. I highly recommend this film for viewers who really like genres with lots of plot twists like this.

Tells the story of the plot of the film, in which a very famous detective is not only smart but also smart and wise, Hercule Poirot, who is about to travel to Istanbul when he arrives on the train when he is shocked by the news of the death of one of the train passengers, Edward Ratchett, who is on board. initially was someone who had also asked for help from the detective. The news then caused a stir for the train passengers and required the detective to intervene in the case. From all the evidence found at the crime scene, the detective is looking for as much detail as possible other evidence that strengthens his accusation because he is suspicious of every train passenger. He finally decided to interrogate one by one of the train passengers to reveal their identities and finally succeeded. The identity was revealed by relating a murder case that had occurred at Armstrong’s exit, where the murder was based on the motive for revenge for the death of Armstrong’s family. Unexpectedly, the plot of this film presents a puzzle where the viewers will guess the killer in the case. This makes this film even more interesting and asks the audience to think hard, very sharpening their wits.

One thing that is a mystery from the film is who the real killer is? Viewers are required to watch until the end of the film. Viewers may even be very surprised at the plot of the film which reveals how all of the cast can act so great and the plot is unexpected. All players have the same portion in playing their respective characters, very interesting. In this genre of film, it is very suitable for audiences who do not want adult scenes in a film. Throughout the film only presents the action of a smart detective who is trying to solve a murder case.

The value that we can take from the film is how a Hercule Poirot who is touched by a human conscience in his life only knows certain things. Cultivate new tolerance among his beliefs. What Hercule Poirot has revealed that provokes the opinion of the audience about justice in life and about how what we do in the end we will also get it in the future. Don’t be someone who wants to be controlled by grudges and emotions based on hurt feelings. Sometimes there are many other positive ways to get back at someone’s wrongdoing without hurting or ending his life. That’s the importance of “Forgiveness”.

  65. HELEN KELLER: THE MIRACLE WORKER

    Name : Nurhakiki Putri Lestari
    NIM : 1814050010
    Class : TBI-A 18

This is the first time for me to cry while watching a movie. I am not the type of person who likes watching movies too much, but I admit this film is very good and touching with a quite complicated storyline. There are many moral values and positive lessons that can be taken from this film that can be applied in everyday life. I think this film belongs to the type of family film that is high in implied messages that are very useful for the audience. This film is very emotional. The film is based on the true story of a child named Helen Keller who has been dumb and deaf since childhood. Set in the ancient USA precisely in the year 1962 makes this film look classic plus costumes, as well as the technology used, is also very appropriate. I think this is the charm and distinctive feature of this film. Classic.
Being born into a respectable and wealthy family made Helen’s life fulfilled in material terms. As well as the affection of her parents made her grow up to be a little girl who is a bit spoiled and irritable-if there is a desire that she doesn’t get. Because her parents always let her behave. They loved Helen very much. On the other hand, Helen has a half-brother from her father’s previous marriage named James. At the beginning of the film, it seems like he is underestimating Helen. However, as the story progressed, he admitted that it turned out that this attitude was due to the jealousy he had. Because he felt Helen always came first. Especially by his father. The relationship between James and Captain Keller was not very good. They often disagree and then fight because of each other’s pride. And the cause in every one of their arguments was the discussion about Helen. Had the idea to take Helen to a mental hospital because of her behavior which often made the atmosphere chaotic. However, this was rejected by Mrs. Helen because she did not want to be separated and saw her child in a mental hospital. Until finally they decided to call a private tutor to teach Helen named Annie Sullivan. Annie is one of the top graduates from the Parkins Institute for the Blind in Boston. At the beginning of his arrival at Helen’s family home, Helen’s father and brother underestimated her. They feel that Annie will not be able to bring positive changes to Helen, instead, it will be the other way around, namely the chaos that gets worse. The only person who believes and supports Annie is Helen’s mother, she puts a lot of hope in Annie’s ability to teach Helen. She is also learning how to spell letters in sign language so she can communicate with her daughter. Because previously Helen couldn’t express how she felt. She only gets angry and destroys things around him if she feels his desire is not being fulfilled.
Every parent, of course, really loves their children and always wants to do and provide the best for their children. Helen’s parents also felt this way. So, without realizing it they continued to let her do what she wanted. Like taking people’s food from their plate or giving candy whenever she is angry. That is not the right way to educate children. Because they are too focused on thinking about Helen, they forget that there is one more child that needs attention, namely James. So that often he feels neglected and not prioritized by his father. Because his father also has a high sense of prestige.
All in all, I just wanna say please keep on dreaming and trying as best as you can. There’s no impossibility in life if you want to sacrifice much of your time to keep learning day by day. Don’t underestimate other people just because they seem different from you or they can’t do things that it is too easy for you. Each person has their imperfectness of anything in their life. Also, keep connecting and build good communication with your family and people who love you. If you feel something, tell them. Don’t worry to say “I’m sorry”, “thank you”, or “I love you”. Maybe it sounds a bit trivial for you. But, sure it means a lot for most people.
Don’t let your ego ruin everything.
    Spread love and respect!

  66. Bad Boys For Life (Marisa Rahmalia-NIM : 1814050070-TBI-B)
Bad Boys For Life is a film with the comedy genre. This film is also the third film series of the Bad Boys film. In this film, it is told about the actions of 2 famous action actors, namely Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. The beginning of the story in this film tells that Martin Lawrence’s friend Marcus Burnnet retired from the police, even though Marcus Burnnet himself was his friend in fighting crime. And because of this, Martin Lawrance did not want that to happen, so he constantly tries many ways to keep his friend from retiring. This is also further strengthened by the existence of criminals who want to kill his friend Marcus Burnnet. Until finally Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reunite to combat crime.
The plot of this story begins with a kingpin widow running away from Mexican prison, namely Isabel Artes. Then, Isabel Artes ordered her son to retrieve the money that his father named Benito had hidden. In addition, Benito is also ordered to kill people who are suspected of being responsible for the death of Isabel’s father while in prison, and the charges are aimed at detective Martin Lawrence. Later, Marcus Burnet told his best friend Martin Lawrence. Until finally Marcus was shot and in a coma for months. After recovering, Mike is determined to take revenge. However, it failed because Marcus had retired so that it caused them to disagree.
For Westerners and Americans in general, this Bad Boys For Life film is impressed as an action, thriller and comedy genre film. However, maybe for Indonesians in general, this film seems a little crunchy. However, from the beginning the story of this film has been filled with scenes that are full of suspense, dramatic, trailer. However, the most interesting part in my opinion is that behind the comedy action, it turns out that there is a fact of murder, even if it is against the closest person. And in the plot of this film, the shooting action is very tense, and I think for viewers who don’t really like thriller this is very tense.
The moral message contained in this film is about friendship, kinship. However, what is thickest is the element of friendship. How two people who make such a close friendship. Even 2 people who are used to working together in everything, can feel disappointed if they are not together anymore. So, from this film we can learn the meaning of friendship, but never sacrifice a loved one for a mission.

A Beautiful Mind is a 2001 film based on the novel by Sylvia Nasar, adapted from the true story of a Nobel laureate in economics. Before discovering this film, I was very interested in mental health issues. Until I finally found this film on a site that recommended films about mental health. At first, I found this film very boring and confusing. But as the film progressed, I changed my mind, and this film really amazed me with the story in it.
The film’s main character is John Nash, a brilliant graduate student, and mathematician who has been awarded a scholarship at Princeton University. John is very closed and anti-social, he managed to become a lecturer and married Alicia Larde who was still a student. John is obsessed with breaking a secret pattern given to him by William Pacher and his wife who realized he has Schizophrenia. John with his hallucinations created the character Charles Herman whom he considered a friend, William Pacher who gave him a secret job, and the son who was Charles Herman’s nephew. John received treatment to cure his mental illness with a wife who was always by his side until he finally managed to overcome his illness, and
John was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics for his revolutionary work.
Even though this film was screened in 2001, with old American culture but it is modern, it impressed me and was very inspiring. This film feels very real with an unexpected storyline. Struggle John is an anti-social who tries to adapt to his environment even though he unconsciously creates delusions. His wife who remained by his side made John manage to overcome the disorder without treatment and managed to distinguish between reality and hallucinations.
The moral that can be learned from this film. First, John’s persistence in developing his ideas, persistence in completing his work, and his problems. the second is John’s struggle to distinguish reality from the hallucinations it creates. Then, Alicia endured and accepted her husband John’s shortcomings. and the last is never to feel that you can be perfect and too ambitious.

  69. “The Boy in The Striped Pajamas” : A friendship story in the midst of a heartbreaking tragedy
    (Syifa Khairunnisa. NIM 1814050062)
It tells about the friendship of two boys from two very different classes. The film will make the audience sad and touched by the genuine friendship of two very good boys, but unfortunately it is sad that a friendship so deeply rejected just because of a different background, status, class or tribe, is what got them caught up in an incredibly inhuman tragedy which was the father of one of the children.
The film opened with the family of a high Nazi leader named Ralf who was very opposed to killing many Jews. Ralf was once assigned to a village close to the Jewish detention camp where the Jews had once been killed. Long story short, Bruno (the boy Ralf) who felt lonely and wanted to play with his peers went to the Jewish camp in secret, and met Shmuel (the Jewish boy). Their friendship grew closer. Until one day Bruno, unaware of the camp, entered the Jewish camp wearing distinctive pajamas of Jewish prisoners and played with Shmuel, whereupon they were accidentally led by Nazi soldiers into a Jewish murder chamber, finally killing them all because of being sprinkled with poisonous gas from the rooftops by Nazi soldiers.
I am deeply concerned and saddened by the plot that this film has had such a deep meaning for the world, as well as it can change the mindset of a very sad tragedy. But I was also amazed at the excellent acting and picnic-fitting techniques set in Europe in ancient times, as well as the location where a view of the scene might add to the audience’s appreciation.
This film has so much to learn that as a result of the doctrine of a belief that is instilled with violence and cruelty can never improve life. Moreover, the victims of this tragedy are innocent children who know nothing about what’s happening to them. Bruno and Shmuel were only two friendly boys who wanted to play together, but as a result of Ralf’s cruelty that had killed so many Jews, Bruno also took them with him to the poison gas chamber to kill. We humans should not easily kill a person simply because of an understanding, because we cannot equate attitudes and character based on a nation or class.

Honestly, I have been waiting for this movie “The Swordsman” for a long time, because I really like action movies, The Swordsman was written by Choi Jae Hoon in 2017 and that year also started shooting, because of production costs constraints and so this film is just here aired on November 2020. The first thing that made me really interested in this film was because one of the Indonesian actors, Jeo Taslim, took part in the film. As far as I know, this is the first time for Jeo Taslim to act in South Korea.

This film tells about 3 swordsmen with a situation after the King of the Joseon Dynasty, Gwanghaegun, who was overthrown. The country’s best swordsman, Tae Yul, immediately disappeared.
The Joseon Dynasty itself was also in turmoil due to the conflict between the Qing Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty. Tae Yul is one of the best warriors who served during the reign of King Gwanghae, and he is the longest person as well as the trust of the king. But Tae Yul away from the crowd, he lives with his daughter in the mountains, AI also buries deep in his identity as a swordsman. One day his son was kidnapped by a swordsman from Japan.
In my opinion, the plot of this film is not too difficult to guess, this film presents a back and forth plot. Even so, the scene by scene in this film is very neat, so it does not seem to be chaotic. Besides that, apart from the epic choreographic battle scenes, this film also pays close attention to the details. The costume designs for the main characters are simple but effective in portraying their personalities and status. Even the make-up is excellent and consistent, paying special attention to the old wounds and wounds the characters endure.
And as most period dramas are made to fit the manner of that time period, women are treated more as decorative figures or mere transactional items. Thankfully, the film doesn’t attract gratuitous scenes due to their low treatment. On top of that, the film has several girls inside who try to subvert the norm like the trading port lady and Tae-Ok herself. When talking about the ending, the ending of this film can be said to be happy and also sad, happy because his child who was kidnapped by a swordsman from Japan was saved, sad because the main character of the film lost sight, but overall this movie is highly recommended to watch.

    ( Rahmatul Idola 1814050051 ) ”
I am writing this review when I have watched this film many times. Maybe if I did the math I could be wrong because I played this film too often. As the only cartoon film that is stored on my laptop, I play this film a lot, even though it’s only to turn on the sound at home when there is no activity, besides that I have a nephew who when I come home always wants to watch the film. That’s why I feel that I have memorized and fell in love with this film.
Hotel Transylvania 2 was launched on September 25, 2015, seven years away from the publication of Hotel Transylvania 1. As a single parent Dracula did a great job of bringing her family happiness to life. After his wife died, Dracula did feel lonely but he always looked happy in front of his son Mavis, son-in-law Johny, and his grandson Dennis. Dracula was clearly very fond of her family. But Mavis as a child must have understood his father’s condition, so he took his father and his entire family on a cruise ship so that his father would find happiness there and take a break from the busyness of taking care of their hotel.
This film has a very good and inspiring storyline, where we know that if we are faced with a problem we have to try to find a way out and be happy again after that. Like Dracula who pretends to be happy because he just wants to see his family happy, he always covers up his sadness but in the end Dracula realizes that his happiness is his family’s happiness. That’s why this film is very interesting to watch, with many genres mixed in it, this film turns our minds as viewers. As a review writer I am very happy to say that you have to watch this film to discover the meaning of family and the extraordinary strength of a father so that we realize family is the main thing that is in our lives.
Regarding the values and morals of this film, I think I have directed it to you since the beginning of this writing. From this film we learn that we must always put our family in the first position. We are taught to be happy and to understand the needs and sorrows of each member of our family. Thinking about family happiness is not only a father’s duty but our duty as children to make our parents happy too. Family cannot be replaced by anything, being a filial child is an obligation. Furthermore, this film teaches us not to be fixated and give up on the past, therefore keep moving forward to the future because the future has its own secret of happiness that we might be looking forward to.

Hichki is a film that has an interesting plot, video quality that contains learning methods that amaze and inspire the audience. I watched this film on December 24, 2020 at exactly 14.00 WIB. Even though this film was released long before the date and this year, which is 2018, I never get bored watching the film over and over again and I seem to sing and share the events in the film.
The first aspect I want to comment on this film is the plot, from this film I know that this film is an Indian film where the main character is Rani Mukerji as Naina Mathur who is suffering from the unyielding syndrome of applying and devoting herself as a teacher, however more than 18 schools rejected him because of his illness or disorder. The plot is arranged like a moving forward mode, but there are several parts of the story that are reversed to provide a further picture of the things behind Naina Mathur’s enthusiasm to be an educator, namely when Naina Mathur was small and was ridiculed by many people ranging from teachers, friends and even people. the people he met however, the founders of the St. Notker refuted all that and said “Ordinary teachers only give knowledge, great teachers make you understand, and very great teachers show you how to practice it.”
The second aspect that I observe and the mistake of this film is the idea of a learning method that is very impressive and inspires the audience and makes the audience feel as if they feel what is happening in this film. My favorite scene is Naina’s patience, enthusiasm and not insecure towards the syndrome disorder she suffers from. She has the principle that “every student is not bad, it’s just that the method or method that Teacher applies is not right”. In essence, there are no stupid students, only students. who have not found the right teacher and method or way of learning. Then I initially thought that Mr. Wadia is the type of teacher who turns off the character of students and emphasizes their own values, it turns out that behind those words there is a spirit of energy in their own way, but the students are wrong in that location. This film is very suitable and very suitable for me to watch by us as educators or students who will give birth to great pride in the State and the Indonesian nation
The third aspect is related to the main point of my argument about this film is that this film is very inspiring and teaches what the real role of educators and students is, because for me naughty students, naughty students because their talents cannot be realized in the classroom because they are only fixated on methods or methods. Monotonous learning, here is explained the various ways or appropriate methods of understanding the understanding and education of characters in a decisive way.
The fourth aspect of the comments or values in this film is the first, this film teaches patience and the results of the imperfections of desire, then teaches that in every deficiency there must be an advantage so be grateful to be yourself, as well as the methods or methods of educators in educate students well, because someone’s words are very influential on one’s actions.

Coco is a inspirational movie that teaches us how to make dream become true with Mexican cultural background. I have watched this movie on early 2018 with my bestfriend . I have watched coco more than three times. After watching more and more this movie i realized this movie is closely related to real life. How difficult it is to achieve dreams without support from family, and what is most memorable is the message that people who have died only lose their bodies, but their memories will remain in the heart.
The plot of the story tells usabout a 12 year old boy named Miguel who lives in a small town in Mexico. Miguel likes playing guitar, he wants to achieve his dream of becoming a musician. But he lives in a family that does not support him much but is closely related to music from generation to generation. they think music is poison because Coco’s father was a vagabond musician who ran out on a young wife and infant daughter to chase his musical dreams. The family has sworn never to have anything to do with music and has even torn this man’s image from the family photograph. The most interesting story from this animation in my opinion is when the maguel returns to the land of the dead. He tried to borrow the guitar kept in Ernesto de las Cruz’s tomb and then he start communing with skeletons.
Most of the time the movie is a knockabout slapstick comedy with a “Back to the Future” feeling. Catchy music, shoot detail and video editing that makes us feel this movie is alive, in my opinion is a plus of this film. Especially when Coco dared to perform at the festival, the skulls danced, played the guitar, made a film with the background of Lan of Dead, this was not scary. As I mentioned earlier, Coco actually has a classic storyline, about someone who wants to achieve a dream but on the other hand cannot put his family aside. Even the classic story, but this movie is very heart warming, the essence of this movie is about the meaning and values of life.
The message of this film is how we do not give up hope to achieve our dreams and aspirations even though our family is not supportive, no matter how the family is the closest person. Also about love and forgiving each other, how Mama Imelda (Miguel’s great-grandmother) and Hector (Miguel’s great-grandfather) reunite in the world of death after being separated for so long. Mama Imelda forgives Hector for all his carelessness. Other value of this charming film are the importance of honoring those who have gone before us, acknowledging the afterlife, having a passion for life, and creating family solidarity through rituals.

My mind becomes more open that this film, which means a detective genre film like this is no less interesting than the usual films I watch.
